My Nigerian Spouse just received his visa but no packet or none of his info was returned?! I’m reading he will need to present the sealed packet that should have been given to him when he goes through customs, is this normal for him to not receive this? Will he still be able to come? Help!

It's been electronic now for a few years. His visa may even say "IV Docs in CCD."

Even his original documents that he gave them including our marriage certificate?

Usually at the visa interview, the applicant takes the original and a copy to show them to the CO. The applicant gives them the copy and leaves the interview with the original.

They don't always return original documents.  My wife didn't get hers back.

Yes but in our case after his interview they asked him for additional documents so we had to submit even more and we never received anything in return

That is what happened in our case.  My wife submitted an additional original after the interview.......they kept it.

I refused to accept this...there is no way, your original marriage certificate will not be returned to you immediately. If not ...you have every right to ask for the original marriage certificate to be returned cos apart from the embassy you need your marriage certificate

Who is supporting me on this.
