Hi all,

Been away long from the forum and I just wanna share with you all my experience of GC application. My NOA is April 19, 2006 (Yep, more than a year but still no GC yet). I've done my fingerprint twice, once in May '06 and once in Sept '06. End of Sept, got a letter they moved my case to CSC. Great, I thought I will got my GC soon after that.

We moved on Feb, from MA to RI, so I applied change of adress form online. At the same month, I got another letter for fingerprint appointment. Woo hoo... third one, I think I beat everybody record in doing fingerprints (yeah, right!).

Anyway, I thought something's wrong, I made an infopass meeting, explain the situation (I've done twice fingerprint) but my mistake is I DIDN'T tell the officer that my case is moved to CSC. So, she said nothing's wrong with my record, I don't have to go for the third fingerprint. She's gonna write to the other office and try to find out what's going on and I just have to wait for the update.

Another three months... I still haven't heard anything, so I make another infopass appointment. Met with the same lady, I asked her what's going on with my case, this time I mentioned my case is moved to CSC. She checked the record in CSC area (I guess, because I couldn't see what's she's doing in her computer) and said my both of fingerprints were rejected! That's why my case is on hold for months... gosh... Everything else is okay.

She told me to get police records from every city I've been and send them all to CSC, hopefully after that there's a progress on my case.

Now that's what I'm doing....

I remember when I first joined here I read some posts from people in the East that were seeing extended times to get their AOS completed. I guess the most important thing to remember is you are with your loved one now rather than the ordeal of waiting to get the visa so the wait for the green card should be less difficult of a wait. Good luck to you

She told me to get police records from every city I've been and send them all to CSC, hopefully after that there's a progress on my case.

Now that's what I'm doing....

This same thing happened to us. My husband was lucky enough to have the first two appointments for biometrics within 2 months. After that we sent in police records from both towns we have lived in the US since he got here.

At our interview the officer insisted that my husband only had his fingerprints done once and that they were rejected so he had to do them again. We knew and had all documentation that they had been done twice but he said "no no no".

We went the same day for fingerprints again and the office wouldn't do them because twice is the maximum amount of times they do it before you have to get police clearance.

I'm sorry it took them so long to let you know all of that. It's very frustrating. If you can, make an appointment to submit your police records in person because ours never made it into my husbands file and we mailed everything in.

After they have it, and if nothing happens for a month then make another infopass appointment to make sure they have everything and that everything is ok.

Good luck!

No, I didn't get anything at all. I wish they notified me earlier so I know what's going on, instead of waiting for the star to fall down :hehe:

Anyway, thank you all for your support, and thank you for visajourney, this is such a big help!
