My fiancé and I are putting our I-129F together and she realized that the name of her mother is misspelled on her birth certificate. There's a C instead of a K. Is this the sort of thing that would trigger an RFE because the name entered in the parental information section and on the birth certificate aren't the same, or would they look past it? I'd rather not have to go through the extra delay of getting it amended if we don't have to, but I don't want an RFE on top of that either. Does anyone know?

Dont worry too much about it, just submit it like that then take actions to request and  correct the name on the birth certificate while waiting for their decision on your submitted forms.

Relax.  It's not your mom who is being petitioned for.  It's your information that needs to be correct.

YMMV
