Hello everyone, I just wanted to make a thread for people waiting to get an interview in the consulate in Argentina no matter their category. So as to know how long is the backlog here.

I'm F2A, and I just got DQ 7th January. First have to wait for the ban to be lifted

Well I am F2A as well. Interview was scheduled for March 31, 2020 but was cancelled due to Covid19. I haven't been rescheduled for another interview. Probably wouldn't happen until after March 31, 2021...exactly one year after my initial interview date. The backlog would be crazy

For us it’s an IR1. We were DQ’d January 15th and received the interview email today for mid-March.

I have several friends who have appointments for tourist visas in March (not for emergency reasons), so it seems like they might be planning to getting a little closer to “normal” starting next month.

That's amazing, congratulations! Please share your experience at embassy after your interview. Best of luck!

Hopefully they will get back to normal soon, I just have to wait

Our friends' B1/B2 visa appointments were cancelled.  But it looks like they're giving CR1/IR1 appointments pretty quickly.

Hola! I don´t see many ppl from Argentina here (most of them here are K-1 category). I'm F2B (petitioned by my greencard holder mother, over 21). If it weren´t for the ban I should have been getting my interview next year :( anyway, hopefully with the ban now lifted it doesn´t take that long and this year I get the 6-steps done, but who knows.

Well, good luck everyone!

The ban is lifted! Finally!

Any of you have any idea how long will it take to get an interview for F2A category?

What ban was lifted? I'm a US citizen and according to the US embassy in Buenos Aires Website I can't go there.

There was a ban for Family-based categories of LPR relatives.

Why can't you go to the embassy? 🤔
