yep, but we'll see the eclipse in the morning :)

I'm going to bed, I don't know why some of these VJ'ers figure they can take out their frustrations on everyone else....

I tried...I really did. I tried so dam hard to stay out of OT...but I just had to add my 2.5 cents worth on that Canadian thread. Why oh why do people have to start such garbage? *sigh* How would all those British feel if someone started such a thread about them...or the Filipinas...or the Mexicans...or the MENA men?

There are days I wish I was home....in Nova Scotia. THIS is one of them. :(

I'm not even going to bother posting in that thread - maybe it was meant as a lighthearted joke or maybe it was meant as a serious question, but it's just degenerating into a "you need to lighten up when we make these stereotypical conclusions about you" bent.

To boot, I'm overly aggravated due to my lack of sleep from working so much. :(

Was pretty obvious that the only direction that type of thread can travel is down!! The world would be soo much better if we didn't try to classify everything!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

No, you're right, Marilyn.... it's not. I think what we're bothered about is that it was predictable in the way it would go. It just gets tiresome to see the same old people posting the same old mean-ness and negativity. That's all. You know.... VJ water torture.
