We are stricken with conscience and can't resolve something, ideas please man.

On Black Friday, we had up-wrapped our shopping, Many stops man.

We were behind schedule, long time man.

We were frazzled and trying to get to casa to mow lawn before rainy weekend, plan we man.

We stopped at a Walgreens, final errand man.

Outside was an older man on a cane, dressed decently, senior he man.

He murmured, almost shyly, "Can you give me some money for a hamburger, huh man?", si man.

We went into automatic beggar-rejection mode, said, "We have no extra money," and went inside, drat and :bonk: man.

A couple of minutes later, we came out, having thought better of things, belated we man.

Older man was nowhere in sight, drat man.

We probably would have taken him to Subway, more food man.

Then, had our head been on straight, we would probably have taken him to Dollar General for anything he needed/wanted, stock up man.

We have been feeling guiltier and guiltier by the day, sigh man.

The fellow was NOT a typical beggar, where was our head man.

It's Many. Many% sure that we'll never see him again, big world man.

Donating to charity wouldn't assuage our guilt, not even close man.

Ideas are solicited, stumped we man.

Nothing doing here. All the people who live out this way have gone off for the holiday. Quiet in the extreme. Herself and I are spending the day like any other. It is 73° today and more like May than December.

Happy Christmas ranters.

Hope all is well with you and Herself and you are finding your way in your new normal 💐

I'm gonna need you to stop mentioning spaghettio's +meatballs in your reports. Michigan Man has decided I'm not allowed to buy them online as they're too expensive and he has also stated  I must not buy them after our move because they're too unhealthy. This is true torture man.

Are grocery stores not as superior in Alabama? I've loved every single grocery store in NC and MI and NYC although Trader Joe's is my hands down favorite. My hobby is visiting grocery stores whenever I go to a new country. Japanese grocery stores are the best (if anyone wants to know).

Merry Christmas everyone!

We spent the day holed up at home because #covid19

Publix is the closest I've found to a good grocery store where we are in AL and that's not local

I liked Trader Joe's but Ingles was the local store in NC and I missed it lots until yesterday.

No comparison to H-E-B that's in a league all of it's own and I'm going to be mighty sad to leave it here 😂

It's hard these days to tell if it's someone who really needs help or not. So many ppl around here that are tag teaming areas. They don't want you to bring them food they want money only. I know the man you came across wanted food, but it is hard to tell who really needs it. Some ppl here will say they don't care if they are scammers or not if they want to give money they don't care what the other person does with it. I don't help that way anymore. I try to look for certain things. Like when the Jedi was sick with GBS the hospital he was at has certain spot they ask for donation. I try to find these guys because I know the money does good. A family like ours could be there and the bills rack up fast. This hospital has programs set up to pay a portion or the whole bill. All donations go to this program it's not ran by the state so they need all the help they can get to be able to keep helping.

So my tip for you is to find a church or something that you can go to and pick a family in need to help. Some places had giving trees where you can pick a child/family and help fulfill their wishes. It's a bit late for this Christmas but there are many opportunities in the future. Keep your eyes open and maybe you will find the right moment.

Oh and

merry Christmas everyone.

Hugs Cndeh

Ta :)

Yep, there are always people outside the Walmart entrances here, usually with signs, looking for money. I usually donate to the local dog shelter. The other thing I found this year was a young lad in the UK. He had cancer, and of all things had a prosthetic femur implanted her in KS. It's at it's full extension, and he needs another. The NHS in the UK have turned him down flat, after misdiagnosing him at the start. They instead want to burn the growth plate in his good leg, and pin it so it won't grow any further. Barbarians. Seriously! So he has been accepted to come back to the hospital here in the US. His surgery to replace the implant is in 2023, so he's getting started raising funds for that. Cool kid, into animals, and has a pet owl, is mad for Richard the Third :)

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Very Texan, very popular, omnipresent from medium-sized towns on up, see man.

Chief benefit is a cheaper store-brand equivalent for almost every name-brand item, $i man.

Advertising slogan is "Here, Everything's Better," si man.

Unless Aldi has everything that Uncle T-B. wants, we usually shop at H-E-B, certainly all there man.

Thrilling Saturday report, see man:

Got to bed at half-of-half after Many (2+1) a.m., did it yet again man.

Prematurely awakened by phone/text of "Daddy, are you awake?", truncated zzz man.

Opened miu's breakfast and splattered it ALL over ourself, disgusting stuff but mius like it man.

Once caffeinated, called back, still-groggy we man.

Mini-B. was feeling much better, almost normal wee man.

Asked what Santa had brought, Oculus virtual-reality cables* of some sort man.

*what we had brought to Ex-Mrs.-T-B. last night, surreptitious swap man

Said that Santa had left stuff at our casa, come over wee & ex-she man.

Of course, "We'll be right over" turned into half + half-of-half an hour, Ecu time man.

First stop was Mini-B.'s reorganized room, see earlier reports man.

Mini-B. & Ex-Mrs.-T-B. notably impressed, our self-bodily-death apparently worth it man.

Ex-Mrs.-T-B. asked who had put together the garment rack, :bonk: ex-she man.

Nodded when we said that it had taken us almost 2 hours, Know Us Since She Met Us man.

Said that Mini-B. & Cousin Mini-B. had put most of hers together, slave labor man.

Mini-B. unthrilled with bigger-boy clothes & underwear, semi-spoiled wee man.

Mini-B. more interested in metronome that we'd figured, mechanical device man.

Mini-B. overjoyed to get his first real phone, swapped with Mommy last night man.

Ex-Mrs.-T-B. fiddled with phone and had to take it home to get it set up, expert ex-she man.

Mini-B. stayed for a couple of hours, right at home wee man.

Fed him Spaghetti-O's + meatballs, waffle between that & chili wee man.

Toucans of store-brand Beefaroni** for us, ingest we man.

**bought earlier on closeout, financially savvy we man

Mowed full lawn, consumed 2 sweatbands but needed Many (2+1) man.

Napped for a glorious almost-2-hours, zzz we man.

Awoke to a text from "potential spam number," suspect number man.

Text said, "Can I put my bird in your oven?  Can I?  Can I?", only one possible author man.

Mini-B. now has his first real phone, excited wee man.

Din-din was onecan (large) of baked beans, "best by" date of Manyvember Many (2+1) years ago, ingest with gusto we man.

Arranged Mini-B.'s new underwear in newly labeled underwear drawer, underwearhanded we man.

Tackled breakfast table, un-off-cleaned since March or even February by its looks man.

-- Shredded some stuff, expired account statements man.

-- Threw some on floor for future filing, more current account statements man.

-- Stuffed much little stuff into scrap envelopes for recycling, enviro-conscious we man.

-- Stacked several handfuls of stuff on stairs to take upstairs, belongs in office or bathroom man.

-- Found Many (2+2) scissors and about a Manyzen pencils/pens, that's where they went man.

Slid crumbs & paper débris off, considerable volume thereof man.

Polished glass*** with Amway cleaner, two rounds necessary man.

***miu initially curious but then scared, miu-discretion the better part of miu-valor man

Off-cleaned placemats with more Amway stuff, nothing else would have worked man.

Admired accomplishment, more than a 2-hour job man.

We shall leave the kitchen counter for Sunday, muster our strength for THAT man.

Not a bad day, conclude we man.
