After binge-reading this thread and T-Bone's multiple postings about food, I have a massive craving for Spaghettio's +meatballs.

Unfortunately. it's not available in regular stores here so I'd have to order it online and have it shipped...

Won't get here until December... price? USD $13.00 for a 15.6oz can... USD $28 for 4 cans...

Might just splurge and buy 4. Will tell the husband it's my Christmas present to justify the cost.

Ranked a tie for lowlight of the weekend: hitting a one hour delay on the 15 West due to a crash at the state line between Nevada and California;

Nitpicking, but I-15 North (yes, it's going a bit more west than north for a lot of the LA to Vegas segment, but odd numbered interstates are north/south, even are east/west).

A few weeks ago we hit traffic mostly around the LA exurbs (from the east side of San Diego it's usually 15 to 215 back to 15 unless your phone thinks there's too much traffic on 215 and has you stay on 15 the whole way like it did on the way back) and in Vegas proper (on the way there; on the way back we were on the road before 8am on Sunday so going through Vegas was fine) going there and back.

Yes, derp about the 15! I always think of it as "west" because I am headed back to the LA area. I had a cool journey on the way there though: 10E-405N-5N-SR14-SR138-SR18-15N.

On the way back it was more boring: 15S (this is where the hourlong tailback was at Primm)-10W (yawn).

What's everyone doing for Thanksgiving? We're going to my sister's place -- she's nearing the end of her second trimester and she has become disturbingly domestic all of a sudden. This is the first year she has ever decided to host. I'm handling roasting a porchetta and making hot chocolate from scratch. Alex is handling booze selections. My sister is roasting a turkey just in case she hates the porchetta (she won't) and making mashed potatoes and smashed potatoes because her almost-a-fiancé (we call him the preancé) prefers smashed to mashed. Mom is making roast broccoli and roast brussels sprouts along with her famous cranberry-jalapeno sauce. Dad's on stuffing duty and I am hoping someone is doing something about dessert because I don't recall this part of the divvying up. My sister-in-law will drop in for a plate and then go back to have dinner with Voldy (my ex/her dirtbag BF) and his mother and a couple of other guests. We've pared down the menu over the years -- used to have 2 kinds of stuffing, candied yams, succotash and green bean casserole on top of everything else, plus at least 3 pies.

It's family so it's bound to be wonderful and irritating!
