Watched weather closely, scrutinize weather we man.

Turned Mini-B. over to Ex-Mrs.-T-B. early, before sundown freeze man.

Miu sat on lap for half an hour, miss big brother already miu man.

Ordered ourself a pizza, self-treat we man.

Watched AFV by ourself, should have been with Mini-B. man.

Dished the warsher, full load from week man.

Confirmed that Mini-B. had watched AFV with Ex-Mrs.-T-B., tradition maintained man.

 

Determined that upstairs temperature is at LEAST Many, if not even Many, degrees warmer than downstairs, Mini-B. calls it "climate change" man.

 

Opened bag of cashews to learn that they are unsalted, what's the point man.

Switching to jar of roasted peanuts, salted they man.

On Saturday, stocked up at Aldi, up-stock we man.

Chief among the purchases were Many (2x2x2) cans of chili-with-beans, ingest later we man.

 

It strikes us that if we were half-Polish and half-Jamaican, the purchase would be described as Many (toucans x toucans x toucans) of chili-with-beans, si mon.

True. In spite of my attempts to keep it from happening my pipes are frozen. I did all the appropriate things. Heat tape on, has been since Christmas, pipes are insulated, Himself did that and it is intact. I left the water to dribble into the bathroom and kitchen sinks Saturday night. No water since I got up yesterday morning. Well...some water. The cold taps both are running, it's just the hot that isn't.  I put the little space heater into the crawl space, and ran it all afternoon yesterday, but it didn't help. And if I couldn't thaw them yesterday when it was eighteen, no way can I thaw them today when it is ten. Meant to be - six overnight. At this point all I can do is wait it out.

 

We had roughly four inches of snow, and there are still flurries.  Meant to be more coming mid-week. The temps are not going to get above freezing until Friday. So far the power has not been a problem. I have got a camp stove and a propane heater if it fails.

 

Herself was fine yesterday when there was just a little snow on the grass. Today not so much.  She comes in covered in little snowballs. I can say that the snow in the back yard is ¾ of a Yorkie deep.

Awoke to whiteness, perhaps one-Many'th of inch of snow man.

By afternoon, most on pavement had melted, strange when below freezing man.

No ice, although might get some on Tues. night man.

 

Ex-Mrs.-T-B. sent fotos of Mini-B. gleefully making iceballs, glee wee man.

Pipes and power still on in the casa, fingers crossed man.

 

Temp difference between up & down stairs truly stark, go figure man.

Downstairs (where idiot builder put thermostat), it is Many degrees, where we set it man.

(Mini-B. describes the difference as "climate change," prescient wee man.)

Upstairs, it is Many degrees even with all vents closed, literally sweat we man.

We keep lowering thermostat to no avail, avail not we man.

We are actually having to go outside to cool off, sweat we man.

We sweat-slept last night with no covers, parboiled we man.

However, we should not complain, no man.

Something like Many,000,000 local residents without power, water, or both, sympathize we man.

THe chickens are well chickens. THey wouldn't come out of their coop this morning. Daughter had to grab a few and show them that the big blanket of white stuff is not in their run. Once a few came out the rest followed. I have more eggs in the house then kroger and walmart across the state does atm lmao.

Ah most don't insulate the hot water pipes. Thinking the pipes stay hot. Could be what happened. If you do have cold then it is not likely frozen on the city's end  I wouldn't bother trying to thaw them just yet you could burst one and have a bigger mess. Sadly shallow lines here in AR just don't tolerate the cold much.

 

 

 

I can't believe how cold and how much snow we got here. I think the Hillbilly said it is a record never before seen. 

 

My inlaws have been here since Sunday night. They don't have heat and the back end of their house has caved in, so we made them come here to stay warm. His mom is trying to go home saying once the roads are safe. It's not just the ice, it's freezing out there and no electric blank and space heater is going to keep you warm. They've been sleeping with their winter coats on and she still thinks it's safe to go home. Thankfully FIL has enough sense to not listen to her so far.
