Scintillating Friday repartee, yawn man.

-------

Thrilling Friday report, see man:

Wanted to attend huge GS at church, favorite of ours man.

However, had to stay at work all day, grrrr man.

Spent whole time vaporizing -- oj nie, atomizing -- a pretender to the POTS throne, take that man.

Mini-B. spent most of day at little amigo's casa, play wee man with wee man.

Was supposed to be back promptly by Many p.m. at latest, instructions man.

However, return was at half-of-half past Many p.m., late man.

Mini-B. was delivered amidst a major monsoon, grouchy wee man.

Furthermore, he had been fed just before din-din time, ruined man.

After delay, din-din was microwaved fried fish fillets from Aldi, ingest some wee and Many we man.

Din-din thus partially salvaged, OK then man.

Friday = movie night, tradition for Two Guys man.

Tried to interest Mini-B. in an opening educational video, no luck man.

Uninterested in anteaters, moose, moose-eaters, or antmoose, sorry man.

Watched entire Marx Brothers' "Monkey Business," surprised that wee man made it man.

Mini-B. actually quite engaged until very end, got much of the humor man.

Many (2+1) bowls of Costco popcorn were consumed, ingest Two Guys man.

Medium-poor selection of ESs/GSs for Saturday, assess we man.

Plan B developed, develop B we man.

One GS, one ES, festival trip with Mini-B., surprise wee man.

You know you can put a stop to the ex making plans for Mini-B on your days right?

Lost 6 of my 8 hens to a raccoon overnight. Not happy. 3 of them were 1 yr olds that the grandkids had raised from day olds. Definitely not happy 🤬😢

I'm so sorry, this is one of our biggest fears too. We live in the city so no free ranging so we built our coop and run very secure. I have a few spots I can improve on for the next time.

Sorry that you lost Many of your Many hens, sigh LB ma'am.

Bad kill-chickening raccoon!  Bad, BAD kill-chickening, KILL-CHICKENING raccoon!

Consult the fearsome raise-chickening Ontarklar for anti-raccoon advice, si LB ma'am.

Not much i have a crazy neighbor who sets out some nasty poison (no clue what it is but it can kill a racoon within a minute) and traps anything that comes into his yard.

Our run has been secure for 18 months until this event. Revisit it all now …stopped free ranging after I lost one to a fox in broad daylight before that. Ah well .. such is life ..

That sucks, once they find them it's game over.

What did you use for the run? If it was hardware cloth I may have to make ours HOT at night for those raccoons.

It’s frame is steel mesh fencing and metal roofing iron  for the coop .. access was gained through a 6” tall space between the coop and the covered roof .. had been protected  by double mesh but I’m thinking that the storms on Saturday nt moved something and opened an access. Yep once they get in it’s over red rover. Remaining 2 are in a large cat cage while we entice , trap and ……with said interloper. Then I guess we’ll try again. I’d stopped locking  them in their coop at night so in part it’s my fault for not taking that extra step. But as I said .. it had been secure and  safe for so long

How they find the one weak spot is crazy.

I feel bad looking ours up at night. Gave them a fan though and they seem to like it. It's our biggest fear if we forget just one night.

Fascinating midweek vacation report from the FL Keys.

Well, it's great to be away from work, however I'm still getting some calls from some patients.... Why did I make it easy for them to find me?

First full day didn't do much.  Just "relaxed", or at least tried.  Wife had no problem with that but I found myself painting and repairing and cleaning.  Wife says I have a problem settling down.

Unlike the rest of FL we have not been getting rain.  Took our boat to a nearby island last night to have a few drinks and watch the sunset.  Did see a 3 foot wide spotted eagle ray leap several feet out of the water very close to the boat.  Decided to sit in the boat instead of  sitting in the shallow water!  Water temp was just about 91 degrees.  My wife says it feels like pee.

At least I'm giving my liver a good work out 😉  You know, you can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning.

Today, between more painting and sorting and cleaning my storage room, I did start my binge watching of "Quincy".  Look up that TV show, kids.  Before most or your times.

Have had a few Key dear come thru the yard and took a picture of one.  Posted in the Pet thread.  Haven't seen any manatee yet.  Water may be a little warm for them.  Full official lobster (FL lobster) season starts Saturday.  Going to be crazy on the water.  I'm not interested in catching lobsters.

Got to go and make another drink....

Happy to report that I've successfully built a corporate wardrobe from scratch, with really nice, almost-new, sometimes-with-the-tags-still-on clothes. I found most of my stuff through Buy Nothing Facebook groups, garage sales, and generous family members who were decluttering their closets.

I set this challenge for myself because I hate paying retail prices for clothes. Now I have enough business attire for all my future USCIS and job interviews. 🤣

Also, husband got his second promotion this year and we're going to use the raise to fund my own Vanguard investment accounts soon!
