Many of you know I am a dentist.  Some of you know my daughter is a pediatric dentist.  

I was discussing with her the other day my love (NOT) for treating children in my office.

 

Today she sent me this text:

"My sedation patient this morning was a terrible violent mean 5 year old.  Spit on me, told me he would kick me in the face and that he hated me and and I was dumb.  YOU really hate working on kids?!?!🤣"

We expected to have computer access on our excursion, but that prospect got hosed, sigh man.

 

We called Mini-B.  Ex-Mrs.-T-B. had him on speaker.  We asked her if she had converted the entryway coat closet into her kitchen cupboard yet.  She said, "Si; everything is fine."  Mini-B. then exclaimed, "it's NOT fine. Send help and send closets, si man!" :P

Thrilling/Groggy Tuesday report, delinquently see man:

 

Made airport in record time, not saying whether we ran yellow lights or how many man.

 

Limped to gate at farthest end of airport, limp we man.

Upon arriving, heard gate-change announcement, other end of airport man.

Just made it, make it we man.

Then, flight delayed for nearly an hour, transfer bags from hosed plane to new plane man.

 

Upon arrival, procured rental T-B.-mobile, driven we man.

Beelined straight for resale store, best on the planet man.

Got Mini-B. Many (2x2x2+1) short pants and Many (2+2+1) underwears, discounts man.

Total = $Many ($2x2x2x2x2+2), steal man.

We organize our visits to include this particular discount day at this store, savvy (cheap) we man.

 

Visited second resale store, less organized but even cheaper than the first man.

Got Mini-B. Many (2+2) books, total = $1 man.

 

Visited best Mexican restaurant anywhere, first time in ~2 years ingest we man.

 

Finally checked into the Super Many (2x2x2) motel, rest we man.

Had great conversation with desk clerk about Mexico, politics, weather, etc., yak we with he man.

Thrilling Wednesday (but on a Friday) report, see delinquently man:

 

Drove rental T-B.-mobile to border, timely arrival at Many (2x2x2) a.m. man.

Parking highly available on U.S. side, briefly consider we man.

Considered later heat and opted to drive in, consideropt we man.

Paid entry toll of $Many ($2+2), far higher than last time man.

Got theoretically optimal space very close on "return" side, remember this later man.

Weather hot but not humid at all, pleasant surprise man.

 

Got labwork done at usual place, more disorganized than usual for then-unclear reason man.

Got clean-teething + laser whitening at usual dentist, usual deal & cute hygienist man.

Went straight to second dentist to get something checked, all OK man.

 

Retrieved lab results, only a couple of semi-hosed readings man.

Went to usual doctor for flush-earing, usual deal man.

Learned that blood lab's founder/active head had died of Covid-Many in Jan. or Feb., sad we man.

Dude was only about our age, premature loss man.

This probably explained the disorganization at his lab, he never would've permitted that man.

At least the place was still active, some consolation man.

 

Doc said that many townsfolk were getting their first & second Covid-Many shots, good news man.

 

Lunched at usual place, ingest we man.

Grilled tilapia slices, French fries, rice, salad, cheaps/salsa, tortillas = $Many ($2x2x2), steal man.

 

Weather now both hot and humid, oppressive weather and pour sweat we man.

 

Went shopping for Mini-B., shop we for wee man.

Got 2 embroidered T-shirts, fingers crossed on size man.

Their "child XL" is like our Medium, no fortune-teller needed to see that man.

Adult "Small" too long for Mini-B., no size inbetwixt man.

We hope not to have lost $Many ($2x2x2x2-1) via our gamble, no man.

 

Looked in vain for our two semi-usual barbers, neither there man.

Found other shop that wanted $Many ($2x2x2-1) for a hairs-cut, outrageous man.

Desperately opted for this and it was well worth it, far cooler we man.

 

On street, found reversible happy/sad plushie Manypus ([2x2x2]pus), perfect for Mini-B. man.

Talked vendor down from $Many ($2x2x2) to $Many ($2+2+2), less than $1 per tentacle man.

Got half-year supply of necessary pharmaceuticals, up-stock we man.

 

By now, was half-past 2 p.m., exhausted/drenched we man.

Vehicle line to re-enter U.S. now Many (2+2) blocks long or even longer, Many-hour process man.

Got into propitiously parked rental T-B.-mobile, back out into front of line man.

No one let us back out for a full Many (2x2x2+2) minutes, obstinate everyone man!

Paid exit toll of $1.Many, same as we dimly remembered man.

 

Took Many (2x2x2x2x2 + 2x2x2) minutes to reach POE, OK with us man.

(We never would have survived the bridge-walk back over, chiefly uphill in the sun man.)

CBP agent pleasant but suspicious, thorough he man.

Queried us, searched purchases on back seat, and inspected empty trunk, thorough he man.

He then asked us how well one of our med purchases worked, answer we man.

We then said, "God bless you & your colleagues for going through hell right now," support we man.

Offered some political observations that he seemed to appreciate, support we man.

Drove back to Super Many (2x2x2), in for the night man.

 

Phoned Mini-B. later, communicative we with wee man.

Discussed his progress in completing list of jobs, potentially earn $Many ($2+2+1) wee man.

Mini-B. negotiated for $1 more, allegedly brush miu wee man.

We said, "You'll earn that only if you prove to be responsible, si wee man," si man.

Mini-B. replied, "The hair is in her brush, see man.  You can give me a responsible extra Dead President with $1 and George Washington on it, pay me man," cheap-off-old-block mercenary wee man.

 

Ex-Mrs.-T-B. said that she'd finally removed the couch of hers from our casa, end the giveaway man.

We asked, "What else did you remove, huh man?" vague nonexplanatory ex-she man.

Mini-B. confirmed that miu had not gotten out, part of duties assigned wee by we man.

 

Bedtime-snacked heartily on gas-station packaged chicken sandwich, ingest non-Mexican we man.

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Thrilling Thursday (but on a Friday) report, see delinquently man:

 

Awoke at nearly palatable time, midday return flight for us man.

Briefly considered attending a local ES, unenthusiastic we man.

Breakfasted at nearby IHOP, ingest U.S. grub we man.

Gassed rental T-B.-mobile, good mileage man.

 

Out-checked from Super Many and returned rental T-B.-mobile, ample time man.

In-checked with airline, check in we man.

Two checked bags together were under limit, stuff one into other delighted we man.

 

TSA line Many (2+2) rows deep, only one agent checking IDs man.  :girlwerewolf2xn:

Still somehow made gate, plane late arriving man.

Flight completely packed, fortunately rather skinny dude in middle seat man.

Checked bag & airport shuttle available on timely basis, nice boon man.

 

T-B.-mobiled back to casa, return we man.

Spotted deep tyre-ruts in front lawn, knew exactly what had happened man.  :girlwerewolf2xn:

Queried Ex-Mrs.-T-B. about couch-removal, culprit identified man.

"It was the only way, see man; it'll grow back, si man," claimed culprit she man.

We hit roof, lawn still not recovered from years-ago wild swing-in by Ex-Mrs.-T-B.-mobile man.

 

Brought in luggage, including bags under our eyes man.

Ministered to exceptionally needy, insistent miu, "where were you Daddy, huh man" man.

Unpacked and off-showered, big difference after both man.

Re-ministered to needy, insistent miu, miu unconvinced of Daddy's reliable presence man.

 

Ran urgent errand, someone here knows what man.

Collected Mini-B. for evening with Daddy, Two Guys man.

Mini-B. thrilled to see us and to ask for his escalated Dead Presidents, mercenary wee man.

Got Burger King takeout with use of coupon, show younger generation by example we man.

Watched perhaps two Manyzen funny Baba-Mail items, laugh we and wee man.

 

Returned Mini-B. to exile at Casa With No Closets man.

Napped like a dead thing for nearly 2 hours, exhausted we man.

Deleted approximately Many,000 spam e-mails, where do they come from man.

Wrote Thrilling Tuesday (but on a Thursday) report, see earlier man.
