Thrilling Sunday report, see man:

A whirlwind Sunday, si and not preferred but necessary man.

Took Mini-B. to Mama T-B. for an hour of doting, dote over wee man senior she man.

Took MIni-B. back to casa for final lunch of Spaghettios & Meatballs, major food group man.

Up-packed Mini-B. for handover to Ex-Mrs.-T-B., half a day early but Mother's Day man.

Mini-B. fighting back tears the whole way, wondering why we couldn't have our full week man.

Tried to explain that Mother's Day is important and that he has a mommy, explain we to wee man.

Emphasized the pool party that Ex-Mrs.-T-B. had planned, fun for wee man.

Said that we would each watch AFV separately and that we would call wee man after, promise we man.

Informed Ex-Mrs.-T-B. that we were returning Mini-B. 2 pounds lighter than how she'd delivered him to us, exercise + healthy Two Guys eating for a week man, and that he was back at the weight at which we'd delivered him to her the previous week, pay damned attention to your child man.

Visited Many (2+1) stores, finish all errands man.

At casa, furiously did pre-week prep, always too much man.

Subdued the usual "heavy-week" Many (2+1) laundry loads, Thread Laundress report man.

Managed to get a nap, highly needed man.

Took down Miu #1's boxed ashes and re-read final medical reports, reconfirm right decision man.

Current miu came to sit on our lap, mius know things man.

Watched AFV by ourself, should have been with Mini-B. man.

Called Mini-B. afterward, promise kept we man.

Mini-B. sounded quavering and forlorn, inquire we of wee man.

Mini-B. reported as follows, report wee to we man:

-- None of his friends were there, only Ex-Mrs.-T-B.'s boyfriend & his daughters man

-- He was tired "and Mommy doesn't understand," need zzz wee man

-- He lost track of time, missed part of AFV, and "Mommy didn't tell me*," typical man

*we had texted Ex-Mrs.-T-B. one minute before showtime & she said, "He's watching," yeah right man

We asked how many hot dogs he'd eaten, important inventory man.

Mini-B. said, "Two," just about quota man.

We tried to cheer him up, support we wee man.

We should probably call him every evening this week to check on him, worried we man.

We don't know how many more excuses we can make for Ex-Mrs.-T-B.'s "me first" behavior, sigh man.

Getting mad just writing about this garbage, enraged we man.

Dished and must de-dish the warsher, final chore for we man.

We're reminded of a remark that Mini-B. made to us last year, remember we man.

"Dad, if anything happens to you, I'll be in a real mess," observed wee to we man.

Since then, he has mentioned how Ex-Mrs.-T-B. works all the time and doesn't do things with him, sigh man.

He has mentioned several times that he prefers our parenting style to hers, mention wee to we man.

Even if we got in Ex-Mrs.-T-B.'s face about all this, she might comply only briefly at very best, sigh man.

Gracias, JD ma'am.

In further wonderful news, see and sigh man:

1, man.  Ex-Mrs.-T-B. has been promising to get a doggie "for" Mini-B., as soon as in new casa man.  (It is really she who wants one, see below man.)

2.a., man.  During our & Mini-B.'s yesterday visit to Mama T-B.'s, Mama T-B. informed Mini-B. about the intense responsibilities of care-doggying versus care-miuing (or care-parakeeting, or care-hamstering), such as walks in all weather at any time, possible attacks from loose doggies while walk-doggying, etc. man.  Mini-B. considered these issues and agreed, agree wee with senior she man.

2.b., man.  During earlier visit to new casa, Mini-B. volunteered the likely prospect that a doggie would create a deafening racket on the now-all-hardwood floors, echo-like-an-illegitimate-male-child quality man.

Many, man.  This morning, Ex-Mrs.-T-B. phoned us and busted our chops:  "I just dropped Mini-B. at skool, si man.  Why did you and Mom kill his enthusiasm for a doggie, huh man?  I've always wanted a doggie, si man.  I had one in Ecu and know how to take care of them, si man.  I never had one here because YOU wouldn't let me, no man.  I never said anything about your cat, no man.  You're not going to stop me now, no man.  I'm going to get him a doggie, si man."

Many, man.  Mama T-B. & we know, beyond doubt, that one or more of Many things will happen, see and sigh man:

1, man.  Ex-Mrs.-T-B. will get a doggie, expect Mini-B. to take full care of it, and ignore it the rest of the time, sigh man.  Such as, who will care-doggie in summer when Mini-B. is with us & she's working at all hours, huh man?

2, man.  Mini-B. will ask her for help with the doggie and won't consistently get it, frustrated wee man.

Many, man.  Doggie will keep getting loose, be neglected, or both, sigh man.

We really think that Mini-B. is better off starting with a different pet first, intuit we man.

You did good explaining mothers day to him and why he needed to spend time with her.

You did right by the kitty, you tried everything. 🤗

Sad she is ignoring Mini-B, she could have had a few of his friends if she was going to call it a pool party. That was nothing but show for her boyfriend and his daughters.

Her attitude will never change and that sucks for Mini-B

Word of caution. Stop telling the Ex you are watching Mini-B's weight. She can turn that around on you in court. Just document and keep trying to keep him active. Also take into consideration weight does fluctuate 1-2 lbs even just in a day.

You will figure out when to stop the excuses and just tell him you don't know why. Just don't bash her (I know you wouldn't) he will figure it out on his own.

As someone who loves animals and has about every kind I can legally have. I would never get something for the kids that I didn't expect I would be doing it all myself.
