  2.  An antiques fair is nearby, and we haven't attended for several -- indeed, Many -- years, see man.

 

We shall hit 2 GSs while on the road, predictable we man.

Friday/Saturday GS/ES report, see man:

 

First Friday GS a dud, yawn man.

Second was a restaurant-supply house with kitchen stuff to sell, unsurprising man.

We got a sugar-packet holder = half a buck, steal man.

 

Saturday far-out-of-town ES = full casa but nothing of interest, zero man.

GS near to it = ditto, zero man.

 

Total = half a buck

Friday half-report, see man:

Finished our local stuff and hit road at half-past 1, drive we man.

Decided to take Interstate, straight shot high speed man.

Crawling/gridlock for no reason for more than half the way, grrrr man.

Arrived in nearly double the proper time and frazzled, great start man.

 

After motel check-in, walked to nearby steakhouse, early din-din man.

Hamburger steak smothered in gravy/onions/'shrooms plus spicy green beans, ingest we man.

Surprisingly reasonable price, no-stress we man.

Probably one of our top Many (2+2+1) restaurant din-dins ever, conclude we man.

 

Read local newspapers plus unread ones brought from casa, studious we man.

Was in for night before sunset, party-animal we man.

 

Saturday report, see man:

Kept waking up early, not optimal temperature in room man.

Got on road just early enough to find parking at antiques destination, achieve we man.

(Antiques destination stretched along several miles of rural highway, walk/drive man.)

Arrived at half-of-half after Many (2x2x2) a.m., barely adequate in past years man.

To our surprise, we were the first car in our chosen parking-lot, perplexed we man.

 

Nice local dude taking parking fee apprised us, years since we'd been there man.

Said that things had been getting going later in recent years, no real clue why man.

So there we were with very few vendors stirring, good grief man.

Coupled with this, we were drastically underdressed for cold & wind, Texas weather not Many man.

 

We trudged along to visit the few open vendors, might as well man.

One of their theories involved Easter weekend, never before a problem man.

Another theory involved younger crowds wanting to sleep in, who knows man.

 

Walked more than a mile up one side of highway, intrepid we man.

Skies became increasingly threatening, looked like rain man.

Walked back other side, observed more people man.

 

Returned to T-B.-mobile 2+ hours later, intrepid we man.

Our parking lot was now approaching full, late arrivals man.

As soon as we drove away, it began raining, steady sprinkle man.

So maybe our early arrival/departure was a boon, how dry we were man.
