Did not leave the casa, working productively selling POTSs we man.

 

Lunch was microwave rice and:

 -- tuna for Mini-B., ingest wee man

 -- Cream of 'Shroom soup*, ingest we man

     *bought at a long-ago ES and expired, didn't poison us man

 

Din-din was microwave corn and Aldi fish sticks*, ingest Two Guys man.

     *all Many (2x2x2x2x2 + 2x2x2 +2+1) sticks, Eat What We Want When We Want man

 

After din-din, see man:

  -- played "Aggravation," we barely won the 2 games man

  -- played wiffle-ball in back yard, first non-torpor all day for either of Two Guys man

 

A lot of bonding just from din-din on, Two Guys man.

In about 2 hours I see my last patient and head out for a VERY LONG holiday weekend in the FL Keys.  Water temps should be in the mid to high 80's ...Mmm.

I don't know about up there, but down in the Keys we have chickens running around wild and they seem to do well without any help.  

 

The Winn-Dixie parking lot on our island seems to be a favorite place for them.  Surprised they don't burn their "feet" on the hot pavement.

Big difference, wild birds are not cooped up and can move around to find what they need to cool off.

Thrilling Wednesday report, see man:

 

Lunch was onecan of Aldi chili for Mini-B., ingest wee man.

Lunch was Costco "Egg Bites" for us, ingest we man.

 

Din-din was Costco chickenburgers, ingest Two Guys and proper ending for all chickens man.

 

After din-din, took Mini-B. to skool park to play basketball with little amigos, get wee man off butt man.

Regular little amigos were there, socialize wee men man.

However, a strange boy was also there, didn't like his looks we man.

He called Mini-B. "fat," not accurate man.

Mini-B. took umbrage, self-esteemed wee man.

Strange boy took a swing at Mini-B., who fought back, fisticuffs man.

We sprang up and broke it up, protect wee man we man.

We told strange boy to go away, comply he man.

He left with further insults to Mini-B., all in character man.

Mini-B. responded with awful profanity, worse than when he disagreed with his haircut man.

Fortunately, things returned to normal after strange boy left, good man.

In fact, some hyskool boys showed up to join game and were very nice with Mini-B., good guys man.

We reported all this to Ex-Mrs.-T-B., at her casa with the Rojo visiting man.

 

At our casa, we told Mini-B. these things, instruct wee man we man:

       1.  A stranger's opinion is none of your concern, no man.

       2.  When a fight is imminent, de-escalate, si man.

Many.  Use karate moves to block punches, hai karate man.

Many.  Ex-Mrs.-T-B. & we both agree that further profanity = out-warsh mouth with soap, si man.

Many.  In addition, further profanity = the spanking of his life from both parents, deservedly so man.

Many.  Because this was the second profane occurrence, Mini-B. loses access to phone, Nintendo, and YouTube gaming (where he most certainly learned all the profanity, should be disallowed man).

 

Mini-B. accepted the above and surrendered his phone to us, surrender wee to we man.

 

We told Mini-B. to watch National Geographic on Disney+, substitute man.

Mini-B. reluctantly complied, watch NG wee man.

After we returned from showering, Mini-B. was engrossed in a show, interested wee man.

In fact, he insisted on finishing it, delayed bedtime man.

 

We think that Mini-B. understands the severity & consequences of his verbiage today, si man.

He fell sound asleep as soon as we finished our nightly reading, exhausted wee man.

Not sure why that magazine was never classified as pornography, or at least some issues of it, no man.

 

We were proud that Mini-B., who awoke far earlier than we, honored the rule to stay off YouTube, wee man with conscience man.  He remained highly interested in what he was watching (earth stuff, archaeology) and invited us to sit with him, flexible wee man.  He even froze a program to continue watching later, tech-savvy wee man.

T-minus 18 days until the British Invasion -- my stepdaughter, her mother, my mother-in-law and very possibly my sister-in-law (well, at some point) are arriving on the 19th for about a month. 😬Luckily they are not staying with us -- they're going to be in a vacation rental nearby. My husband works from home, and is going to temporarily move his office over to the rental as well. Let's see how long that lasts!  Genuinely though, I'm glad that his ex and his mother still have a cordial relationship, which makes things much steadier for my stepdaughter. I'm really looking forward to seeing her -- it's the first time since the pandemic started we'll be together in person. She was six last time I saw her and she's turning nine a couple of days after they arrive, and of course now that makes her Very Grown Up. 

 

I have been told I can be as present or absent at family stuff as I feel like, which is totally a trap.

So I just saw CBP act at the airport. We’re leaving for Argentina and right as we were entering the international flight, I saw what looked and sounded like an Argentinian police officer questioning a young lady. All I heard is “who were you visiting?” And “are you sure he’s not your boyfriend?”. Mind you, this is the departure flight, which I thought weird.
