Anyone know of a gas range with an automatic  "flameout" shutoff? That shuts the gas off when it senses there's no flame? 

My (step) mother is going to blow up her apartment soon......

Had a great birthday. Worked out this morning. Made a healthy breakfast. Lounged around until it was time to get my hair done. Did that and showed her what I want to do next time.  Then ate all the ####### foods. LOL. Wings, one set with honey bbq, one set with honey mustard, onion rings, carrots and celery, and then cheese cake and some Ferraro rocher.  Hubs got me a funny card and a fit bit versa 3 and chocolate. Only one of his presents arrived in time. We watched Harry Potter. I’m happy.

Hoo boy, but we were busy, around-racing we man.

 -- Delivered carton of Costco milk to Mama T-B., appreciative senior she man.

 -- Visited legacy supermarket in search of bread, struck out man.

 -- Bought Many ceiling registers* at Home Despot, past time to replace those upstairs man.

          *at a total cost of $Many

 -- Visited ES in adjoining town, drive we man.

 -- Bought bread & hotdog buns at a Walgreens, get it before others man.

 -- Visited Aldi for Many items; saw bread/buns there for one-Many'rd Walgreens' price,   man.

 -- Visited legacy market for sale on Powerade Zero grape, Many (2x2x2x2) bottles bought man.

 -- Dropped perishables at casa, miu excited that Cat-Daddy home man.

 -- Blew to favorite resale shop to drop bags full of bags, they use them man.

 -- Bought shirt for Mini-B. there for half-price, steal man.

 -- Returned to casa and napped like a dead thing, zzz we man.

 -- Went to 2 legacy markets in search of giant hamburger buns, none available man.

 

We conclude the following, see man:

 1.  After a weather disaster, finding satisfactory products at good prices sucks, frustrating man.

 2.  There was no excuse for this weather disaster, no man.

Many.  The legacy markets have no excuse to not have bread products by now, no man.

Many.  If we wanted to live in a Many'rd-World country, we'd move to Ecu or California or [deleted], oj tak.

The hot water heater is fine, and so is the element. The leak was draining away enough that the water heater couldn't catch up.

 

He also put the tub faucet back on. When I spoke to him earlier in the week, he said to let all the taps continue to drip, including in the bath. I only use the shower over the bath, and so that is where the diverter on the faucet was set. It wouldn't budge, so I gave it a good sharp smack, and it came off in my hand. Oops.  All up, $164.00. I was shocked, thinking it would be well more than that.  Himself apparently did a good enough job of insulating the pipes, as far as he went. There is a stretch he couldn't get to that has none, so I will look after that myself in better weather.

That is good news. Hopefully the water bill wont be too bad.

We constantly have to check to make sure that it is off because our dials are really loose. For example the wife and I came home from being out part of the day while our two older kids were home. As soon as we got into the house I smelled something funny and asked them what was that smell and they said they didnt' know. We found out that one of the dials for the stove was turn on and emitting gas but luckily it didn't seem like it was on for long. So we turned it off and opened up the house were good to go.

Thrilling Sunday report, see man:

 

Hosted limited-speak-Englishing Ecu handyman for several projects at casa today, host we he man.

One was to replace all 2nd-floor ceiling registers, keep us off ladders man.

These we had carefully measured earlier, subtract 2" from length & width for hole size man.

Purchased correct number of each size, always prepared we man.

 

However, h'man told us, on-site, to buy Many (2+2) of a larger size, curious we man.

We dutifully rushed to/from Home Despot for/with said purchase, compliant we man.

H'man replaced all with the original sizes that we had bought, curious and  we man.

Newly rush-bought ones can apparently be returned,  man.

 

H'man also reinstalled 2nd-floor gutter that had fallen during The Freeze, tall ladder man.

Also performed a couple of minor repairs, why not avail ourself man.

 

Full job for Many hours' work = $Many ($2x2x2x2x2x2x2 + 2x2x2+2+2), deal man.

 

We then napped like an illegitimate male child for nearly 2 hours, zzz we man.

 

Best part is having Mini-B. this week, Two Guys we + wee man.
