Hey folks, we sent in our package in Nov, and they just cashed my checks.  When will we get the notice of receipt?  We forgot to fill out the inform by email form, and any other requests for notification if any, so will we still get an update or notice of receipt by mail?  Thanks for your help.

2-4 weeks, yes they will mail you an extension notice.

12/06/2014: Package filed

12/31/2014: Fingerprinted

02/06/2015: In-Line for Interview

04/15/2015: Passed Interview

05/05/2015: Oath letter was sent

05/22/2015: Oath Ceremony

Yes the notice of receipt is your extension letter that is evidence of your permanent resident status so you will definitely get one in the mail. 

Cateogory: CR1

  • NOA1/Notice of receipt: Sept. 15, 2015
  • NOA2/I130 Approved: February 8, 2016 (NO RFE) :)
  • Process slowed down by us
  • Sent documents to NVC: April 11, 2016
  • Scan date: April 14/ May 7th (NVC said both I dont know why)
  • Case Complete: May 31, 2016 (No checklist) :dancing:

August 17, 2016: Visa Approved!!!! :dancing:
