I don't need it at the moment, but like many, my 2019 tax transcript is definitely not available right now. Yes I know there are many who can just log into their IRS account and download their 2019 tax transcript.  But myself and MANY others will find it simply is not available yet.  The IRS has been in total meltdown mode for months now.  I could see where it's a big problem.

I can't even get an IRS online account because I filed with a Philippines address for the last 8 years.  I will file 2020 with my U.S. mailbox address, so hopefully I can get an account after that.

That really sucks and I feel bad for you. Mine was available less than a month after I filed.

I had this same issue when I requested my 2017-2019 transcripts.  I had filed with a foreign address for the last 10 years and the IRS had entered the address wrong.  So when I was trying to request online the transcripts, I could not be found.  I had to call the number and since I had no physical address in the US for years, no idea what address they keyed in when I filed, it took over an hour to get it straightened out and multiple numbers to call.  They told me that I would have to go to the local IRS office to verify my identity, but since they were closed for the pandemic, it had to be done over the phone.

The United States is now a country obsessed with the worship of its own ignorance.  Americans are proud of not knowing things.  They have reached a point where ignorance, is an actual virtue.  To reject the advice of experts is to assert autonomy, a way for Americans to insulate their increasingly fragile egos from ever being told they're wrong about anything.  It is a new Declaration of Independence: no longer do we hold these truths to be self-evident, we hold all truths to be self-evident, even the ones that arent true.  All things are knowable and every opinion on any subject is as good as any other.  The fundamental knowledge of the average American is now so low that it has crashed through the floor of "uninformed", passed "misinformed", on the way down, and now plummeting to "aggressively wrong."

So I had a question my wife had her interview and at the end they kept her passport and gave her 221-g and requesting that I upload a tax document and they said that they are still waiting on her medical examination which I'm not sure why it's taking so long to reach them so my question is how long should I expect before they go back an update her case

Depends.  Mind sharing which consulate?  Otherwise no chance of providing an accurate answer?

YMMV

Well your most accurate answer will come from the Philippines regional forum.   I think there are a few members there who are similarly situated.

There is more Manila activity than in the general forums.  Plus,  you have an increased chance of getting a Manila specic answer rather than one for Moscow, Montreal, or Morocco .

Can I ask if you are K1 or CR1, you are fortunate to get an interview, good on you.  Can you fill out your timeline so me and others can have some possible hope for us getting an interview soon.  Is your case expedited?  Thanks in advance for contributing.

Micromanaging the process creates a lot of stress. You should avoid it at all cost. Remember that you are dealing with the government and government workers. Expecting to see daily or weekly changes to your case is unreasonable. Definitely fill in your timeline as it makes it much easier to give you advice. The fact that they kept the visa is a good thing. The only reason to keep it is to give her the visa. Work on getting them what they have requested and she should get her visa within a few weeks after that. I don't understand how she was able to do the interview without the medical being completed. I didn't think that was even possible. However if that is the case, don't expect anything to change until the medical is complete.

Thanks for the input and as far as the medical goes she went to St Luke's to ask them about it and they said they forwarded it on the 31st so they should already have it
