Don't wait for NVC to notify you, it's been 4 months since my NO2 and NVC sent me nothing, zero..  They are much better over the phone, I called after 2 months and they provided me with my new case and invoice number.

No, it's stalled at NVC due to Embassy closure,  If the Embassy of your Country is open and accepting applications, then NVC will forward it, otherwise, it's a long wait until they reopen, and when they do, you're facing a backlog of almost 1 year.

Damn, my fiancee is also in PH. Is there any news when the embassy is going to open, and do you have any idea how long we are looking at for an appointment when they do? We were hoping we could actually be together this year.

Let me correct something, when I stated a backlog of almost 1 year, I meant that cases have been backing up for one year, NOT that we''ll have to wait 1 year..  My fiance was reading somewhere the USEM will begin processing K1's in April, And I was personally told by NVC on the phone 2 months ago they would process K1's "'very soon"" but was not given a month, I'll find out the source of her info and will post it here.

Thanks, it would be great if you can post the source. They really need to start working on that huge backlog.

I just spoke with her,  she found posts on this site under March 2020 K1 filers,  that indicated some had called NVC and were given a opening date of March 31st for the USEM in Manila.. She plans to call herself in the next week, I suggest anyone with a K1 do the same.
