Well it has been one full week since my family was completed and it is wonderful. I am so glad that I am not working right now just working on my Substance Abouse Counseling State Certifications so I intern 3 hours 4 nights a week. Last night he mowed the lawn and loved it. He is taking great pride in our yard. He wants to get plants and flowers to plant. Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday.

Too bad you guys don't live near me. I've been working on my landscape plan all during the winter and have been working hard the past couple of months on it. I'm putting the finishing touches tomorrow with alot of perennials and flowers. I'll be planting it all by myself though. :(

No worries...you'll be busy growing eyes and fingers and toes and stuff!!!! That's hard work too!!! The first six weeks I was so tired. I have never in my life been as tired as that!

That is my #1 reason for not wanting to try Alli. No thanks on the ####### leakage.

ok i'm intrigued..... i took a look at the site. very interesting.

maybe if i was scared i was going to have "treatment effects" at work i would stop eating the cookies they put out at meetings.... ####### leakage is probably the best incentive i've ever heard of for cutting the fat outta my diet.

Yeah I went to my Rheumy and he took blood to run tests but we won't get those back till next week. I also have to go for x-rays but I'm hoping they're open tomorrow 'cause I really don't feel like going today. Then I had to go to my pcp because my hands, feet and lips are becoming kind of numb, so they took blood tooooo. lol. On the way there I started to get an optical migraine which is pretty much still with me so that was a treat.

There is a guy at work who was having alot of trouble with his feet and hands getting numb. The first doctor he went to thought he might have been becoming diabetic, but after seeing another doctor and many tests later, it turns out that he has multiple sclerosis.

Insha'allah this isn't what you have, but maybe you could ask your doctor about it.

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

"I am willing to do the hard work it takes to lose weight gradually"

yeah.......if I'm gonna shell out some dough for a diet pill, hard work best not be one of the requirements. I do that now for free. :P

Well my blood tests all came out normal. It's actually getting better today so maybe it was just a fluke. My mom has MS. It's always in the back of my mind since if you have a relative with it then you're a lot more apt to get it yourself. Whatever. I have enough to deal with without thinking of that!! lol. So what if I can't feel anything that I touch. Feeling is overrated. lol

I think they finally figured out this guy had it be doing a catscan? Or some scan like that. MRI maybe.

My mom has MS as well.

yeah it wouldn't come up in any bloodwork. My mom's was found in her spinal fluid. On the other hand though, some docs are quick to give out that diagnosis when they can't think of anything else to label the person with...which is why I tend not to bring it up to any of my docs.

My brother's wife has it and in only 2 years she is almost totally disabled. She's in her early 60's and it's so sad to see. He is 12 years younger than her and loves her sooo much and just doesn't have the heart to put her in an assisted living situation but she REALLY needs it. I mean she has fallen down the stairs twice this month alone because she's stubborn about asking him to help her.

My mom on the other hand has had it for over 12 years and is perfectly fine....so I tend to think it was a misdiagnosis. Each case is different though.
