I'll just say this and shut up for the rest of this thread. Nobody here is Craig, and nobody here knows how he really feels, so i don't think it's right for people to assume things. If he felt that what he was doing was right, and nobody gets hurt, then for chrissake let him do it.

As long as you are both happy  only you know what's going on in your own family and relationship Michelle....people will surmise the situation as they will....just get on with your life and be happy, we all have problems to work tho' at times

Michelle... don't let others posting negatively - or in a way to make you feel uncomfortable - in your thread be the cause to run you off from VJ... i for one am glad that you post here... it gives me an insight to what jamal may feel and think when he gets here. welshie and fuzzy have it right on... what we read here is only a portion of what happens within your home... and only you and craig know the truth... i don't understand how someone can make a judgement of whether he needs counseling or not just from words posted through the internet... always thought that psyche consultation happened in person... *hehe*... i applaud you for opening your heart... your thoughts... and your feelings here on VJ... you are a strong lady to do so... and i am happy that craig felt the need or the inclination to return home for a second time... that doesn't tell me that he needs counseling... it tells me that he needs to travel back to europe with you, his wife.... just take it one day at a time... and be happy in each other's love. This whole process is horrifying... cherish the love that you have together... make it stronger...

My continued best wishes to you both!

*hugs*

Well all I can say is that I am delighted for you both. I know I would hate to go back to England on my own. Al recently had to fly back to mexico for a weekend and I was lost to death without him. Dropping him off at the airport brought back all the awful memories of those past separations.

Save some pennies and plan a wonderful trip together.

I just wish that people would be nice! I was always taught that if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all!

I can't stop myself from reading about Michelle and Craig- it's better than any soap opera. As my husband would say "if it makes them happy why should we care?" I'm just glad it's not me. But I will keep reading for all the updates on this saga.

See my timeline for all previous dates!

Naturalization:

6/28/09: Mail N-400 to Texas

7/6/09: NOA1

7/24/09: Biometrics

10/08/09: Interview

11/21/09: Receive oath date

01/22/10: Oath Date

With thanks to all the helpful people who made this journey slightly more bearable.

I just wish that people would be nice! I was always taught that if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all!

I haven't seen anything unkind on this thread. I've seen people who, after supporting Michelle and Craig through several threads of this in a variety of ways, are STILL trying to be supportive despite the very obvious issues going on in that relationship.

Sometimes a "yay you" post is fine...sometimes a person may feel more of an obligation to offer advice - I think it takes way more guts to respond honestly. Why can't a post that provides a third-party assessment be just as sincere and valid? There are people here who have read Michelle and Craig's story and started freaking out because they think their SO will have a REALLY hard time adjusting. If Craig is one extreme end of the scale (just like there's another extreme end...the person with no issues adjusting), isn't it better for the community as a whole to offer perspective on that?

Again, I don't think anyone here in this thread has slammed either of them. Of course, that's just my perspective on it.

As for Michelle and Craig and this latest development, I've offered all the advice to Michelle I'm going to on the subject. I'm glad you're happy Michelle.

Gimy, for once girl I have to say "high five". You nailed the situation on the head. Its just rediculous that the man (who supposibly has been soooo homesick) can't seem to get on a plane to visit his family!!! Somethings not adding up. My hubby has not been able to travel for 3 years. He now has his temp green card and just went to Wales for a week Alone because I dont have any vacation time yet with my job.

I WAS THRILLED THAT HE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO GO even tho I missed him. He needed to go and see his family and I was sooooo happy he went.

I think its very dysfuntional that he can't seem to go without Michelle...and I think the cancelling of tickets and wasting of money that you don't Have is equally nuts!!!

Michelle, sorry, I know you just want sunshine, but its just adding up. And yes, some of us are very tired of TMI concerning your marital problems. Someday, you may find its not benifical to share TMI with internet people........just a suggestion.

I have read this on the another thread but I haven't seen any evidence of others feeling any turmoil because of this particular thread....

I've been PMd by a couple of people asking me if my experience was like Craig's. I extrapolated from there that if some messaged me, others may be out there.

I also know from my own responses to things here, that when you read the stuff that *may* go on, it's very easy to take that and run with it, stress-wise. I have my AOS interview in mid-April and have had to stop reading about others' because if anything goes sideways in theirs, I start stressing about it in mine. I think it's a fairly natural response to unknowns when one is in a situation that is out of their control.

Anyway, that's my perspective...I don't expect that everyone will share it. :) Of course it'd be easier for me if you all did!

edit: And after re-reading your post, no not this particular thread, but the situation in total is what I was basing my comments.

I went up the stairs and the first thing I saw was Craig's laptop open on the bed.

Oh my gosh, the ceiling is leaking and Craig's laptop is on the bed!!" Then I thought in the next second: "what IS Craig's laptop DOING here???"

then he walked out of the bedroom!

if you suddenly walk in a room and see a laptop< on the bed mind- easly to knock off the bed >

not notice your husband walking out the room. either you made that up or you for sure need new glasses!

btw, if the ceiling is leaking. I really dont think he would be hiding waiting to be sleeping in a " WET BED-from leaky roofs"

you would have seen him grab some plastic to cover something..

and possible repostion the bed!

The idea is that she was being lied to about the ceiling, just so she´d up to her room to find her husband there.
