K-1 interviews are increasing every month and spousal interviews are at pre-covid numbers.  They normally do 500± K-1 interviews a month and now they are at 60±.

How do you know this?

This is insane.

Right now USCIS is taking in paperwork for people who came her illegally to get work authorization cards.  A guy who works for me they just filed DACA for one of his 17 year old brother last week.

While the people who did everything legally get stabbed in the back, it's really not fair at all.

Yep.  This is broken but remember the DACA people didnt enter on their own.  Their parents brought them here and they had very little idea of what was happening.  They are victims too.  There are no easy answers but imagine being brought somewhere as an infant and then losing the life you knew your entire life.  This is sad on so many levels but punishing the child for the parents crime is probably not the best plan.  There are certainly no easy solutions for this...ignoring it didnt work either.

You will need that $13K when she arrives.  Depending on your location, they dont have a lot of winter clothes.  The Milligan case wont help the Philippines but the lawyers are offering to do the mandamus for people outside the Milligan case area.  Suing is certainly a personal choice so I wish you the very best.  Personally, I would wait this out a little longer.  K-1 interviews are increasing every month and spousal interviews are at pre-covid numbers.  They normally do 500± K-1 interviews a month and now they are at 60±.  That means there is a big backlog at one of the busiest embassies in the world.  NYT did an article yesterday stating the there are 380,000 people worldwide waiting on interviews.  Most are work and tourist but that is going to take a while to get through.

I think it really depends upon the Embassy.  The embassy my wife is going through, Nairobi, is doing IR1/CR1 VISAs at about 20% of pre-covid levels, which amounts to about 20 a month.   Sadly, they are doing F1 VISAs at pre-covid levels.  Go figure.
