just for a bit of clarification - according to the initial post, Texas residents now send to Vermont... but some people who had already filed at the Texas processing centre have had their documents sent to California... I'm assuming that this, too, was based on state of residence?

in any case, as I understand it: we're about to file this week (Petitioner lives in Texas), so can send it direct to Vermont, AND still come in under the deadline for the old fee... I think someone is smiling on us :);)

(ask me about that last comment in about seven months ;) )

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Hey folks, just a bit of information:

I had previously filed about a month before this was posted. Unfortunately, through error on my part, the package was returned to me.

So I refiled, and with this information, filed in VT as that's the new center for FL.

My pkg was mailed the 10, delivered the 12, and I just got my NOA1 from California. So apparantly, VT forwarded it onto CA.

So, I'm not sure about this early file as it didn't seem to work for me.

Yeah not sure on the internal processing but the USCIS VSC will accept them at a minimum. Hopefully they do not keep sending to CSC if that was the case for you (after the 30th). Lets hope that their transition to the new processing occurs on time.

It is about time they split them up more equally!

Nevada is on the list. Look carefully. It's between Idaho and Illinois. It looks like it was not in alphabetically in order.

Per a telephone conversation on 5:00 EST 7/2/2007:

We have confirmed with Officer Ruiz of the USCIS that you can, yes, file your I-129F's in advance of July 30th with the new direct filing location.

Has anyone heard anything regarding filing right in the middle of the July 30th change? I sent my 1-130 last week to Nebraska and have read a lot of threads on here but still can't figure out if I should wait to get my NOA-1 or just send my I-29f to CSC right now. I also paid the old fee because it was postmarked before July 30 and was planning on still sending $170 with my I-29f. I wish I would have just waited until this week and sent it all together :( I don't know what to do now.
