What is the DQ date the U.S. embassy in Ethiopia is currently working on?I got documentary qualified in April 2020 and waiting for interview date to be scheduled

The only one I am seeing is DQ Dec 2019 and rescheduled  cancelled appointments. Your looks like closer than mine since mine DQ is May 11th. We hoping after March the nearest.

I'm not really sure, but everyone that they are interviewing/have interviewed had cases that were at the embassy already when the pandemic shut everything down. I called the NVC on Friday 2/12, and according to them the embassy still has not requested any (routine) cases be sent to them for processing, and they haven't made any requests since March 2020. I was really hoping they would pick up some steam once they resumed interviews, but it looks like they are getting through the reschedules and slowing down. Maybe they have lots of expedites that they are finally accepting, which would mean they are still working but not requesting batches from NVC? Lord knows there is enough going on in Ethiopia to warrant a blanket expedite for the whole country. Petition to send in more embassy staff and expedite every case on their desk??

Hello.

I have the same question as well. I have been contacting both NVC and US embassy in Addis Abeba regarding my husband case. However I didn't get satisfying answers from both. I was told by NVC that they are waiting a green light from embassy in Addis Abeba,  and when I call the embassy they  are not providing informations regarding this.

My case was documentary qualified since April 21, 2020 with ir1 visa. It seems like we have same situation.

Since you uploaded this question beginning of February, do you have any updates?
