Got it! It’s still 5 years right if I remember correctly right?

3 years for a spouse of a  U.S. citizen, which is why so many are filing for naturalization before ROC is completed.

We just filed on Saturday and you can follow our timeline on how it proceeds. AOS took just over 3 mos 2 years ago, but we expect this to take much longer. As others have stated, Citizenship filing will probably take place before ROC is approved.

It’s finally time to file for I751!
I figured better to keep on the same thread I started earlier this year.

I am the USC, I am a bit confused by the application if someone could help clarify it would be greatly appreciated.

12/2019 version from the USCIS WEBSITE

PART 1 : about the conditional resident

part 4 : about the USC/ spouse

This is where I got confused

part 7: petitioners statement ( whose statement goes here?)

part 8: individual listed on part 4s statement

so I had is part 7: hubs and part 8 as myself but as I double check I get more confused on these two if I did it correctly as originally I (USC) is the petitioner but since it’s a different form now it’ll be my husbands name?

please help.

thank you!!

I-751 petitioner is the immigrant.  Note that part 1 says "Information About You, the Conditional Resident".  So the immigrant signs part 7, and their USC spouse signs part 8.
