Me and my Fiancee would like to invite her mother and a few friends to the wedding in the USA. Where can I get more information about this?

Do I need to write an invite? She is Russian. Her family and friends are in Russia.

I know it is possible but where do we start?

Possible but depending on the country and the visitors' personal circumstances it can be pretty difficult. You'll want to check out the two forums for bringing family members to the US.

Russia is one of the many countries where immigrant intent is assumed unless the family members can show strong ties to home that convinces the Consular Officer they will return. Often Mom comes without Dad or parents come without children etc.

Very difficult from Russia, but not impossible. Last month my stepdaughter was rejected for a summer student work travel visa because her mother is married and living here. She had spent time here last year using her K-2 but returned because she wants to live and go to university in Russia.

Also had one other visitors visa for another person rejected. Invitation was written but it doesn't seem to help.

By the way, I see where you are from....I grew up in Scotia, not so far from you.
