What is this in mail?

Hi everyone, I got an email last weekend saying my US passport application has been approved, HAVEN'T received anything yet. No USPS tracking number either. The DOS website just shows "approved".

Today my USPS Informed Delivery shows there's another letter arriving that doesn't look quite like the passport, the USPS scanned picture looks just like a regular, small, paper envelope but it's from the passport center!

I don't think I will get the mail today because of the winter storm weather. Anyone knows what's possibly inside? Passport card? NC?

They mail back the naturalization paper and passport in separate mailings

and if you also applied for the passport card that is another separate piece of mail

My fiancé had the same thing last week.  On online application checking his status was just approved and he got his passport. So it’s likely to be the passport or supporting documents.

Thanks for sharing. Has he received his supporting document yet (e.g. Naturalization Certificate)? If so, was that in a plain and small/standard envelope?

Thank you. I did apply for a passport card as well. Aren't the card and supporting docs suppose to arrive days after my passport? I still haven't received my passport book yet. Curiosity is killing me!😆

The envelope picture in USPS Informed Delivery shows just a plain / small / standard envelope. On the left hand side there're 2 plastic windows, the top one reads "U.S. Government Official Mail..."(passport center addr), the bottom one reads my address. On the top right hand side it reads "FIRST-CLASS MAIL POSTAGE & FEES PAID..."

It can be something out of these 3

My fiancé was told that he would get his birth certificate before his passport. But actually he got passport after exactly 4 weeks and his birth certificate two days later

If its a regular envelope that'd be the passport card. The passport book will show up in a USPS flat rate envelope(express if you paid extra for it).

They don’t fold the naturalization certificate, it comes back in a large envelope (not sure if letter size or a bit larger than letter). Passport was in normal size envelope as i recall.

May I ask did your NC come back in a yellow large envelope or usps flat rate envelope? Did it ever show up in your informed delivery notification? Thank you.

Large yellow/manila  envelope. One of those that says “mailpieces that we do not have an image for are included in today’s mail” in informed delivery. (Never get images for that size )
