Another silly NVC related question  

In the DS230 under other names used or 'Aliases' if married woman give maiden name - wondering if any nicknames need to be included here too E.g. a shortened version of your name that family/friends call you?

If you have used those names for official purposes, eg bank account, credit card, drivers license, etc then you must include them. You don’t need to include pet names or shortened names that have only been used informally by family and friends.
