Hey everyone! First post here!

I sent off my I-485 + I-765 + I-131 package on 2/6 and it was received by USCIS on 2/8. The check still has not been cashed, nor a receipt notice has been received. I am fed up with checking my bank account every hour 😂

No need to check that often, it may be a month before they take your money. Don't  stress yourself overly. Pace yourself you got a long ride! Bottom line is Uncle Sam WILL get his money!

I have a question regarding Question 25 under part 6 of the I-864. I filed taxes in 2020 and 2019, but not 2018. Am I supposed to check question 25? Instructions are very vague as to whether this is regarding the most recent tax year or the 3 most recent.

fill 24a and 24b with your 2020 and 2019 return, write N/A in 24c or just leave it blank

leave 25 blank

Ended up sending it in today with 25 checked. Sent my 2020 tax transcript and 2018 verification of non-filing with an explanation so hoping it'll be alright

Hey @Sarge2155 any idea when the SSN will be issued?  Does it come back with the Employment Authorization?  Or does it come separately? earlier or later?

Just trying to do taxes and we need that SSN to file jointly.  I can file an extension of course, but I'd like to know about when to expect the SSN.  I think by October for the Employment authorization should be reasonable.  But who knows.

"You should receive your SSN card no later than 7 business days after you receive your EAD from USCIS."

@S & V

The operative word here is SHOULD. It is very hard to pinpoint. Sometimes they come early, sometimes later, and then sometimes not at all. All you really can do is wait.

Looks like the public charge rule is out of the picture now (https://www.wsj.com/articles/supreme-court-dismisses-immigrant-public-charge-cases-11615320804)!

There's no getting back the time we spent on putting together the evidence for the I-944, but here's hoping this decision will help clear the backlog and bring down processing times. :)

Wow more than 50% of my time spent on this AOS application was spent on this form.... Well I guess on the bright side that's one less form to get a possible RFE on lol

You should be getting your numbers any day now provided they accepted your packet.
