Update again, completely unexpected but:

04/05/2021 Refiled EAD for missing signature. Case was received.

06/03/2021 Biometrics letter received

07/02/2021 Biometrics done!

07/03/2021 Case status changed to "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS"

07/16/2021 Interview scheduled for 08/13/2021

Congrats ! Let me guess ! your receipt number starts with IOE. right ? Only IOEs get "Being Actively Reviewed" status.

Hey guys.  We have had a death in my wife's family and she needs to get back to her country.  Her AOS status shows "ready to schedule interview, we will schedule interview and send you information". something like that.  We are currently on hold for 79 minutes to talk to someone, but I wondered if we can expedite the existing AP request or do we need to do a new one?  It feels like the AP approval should be any day, but we need it now.  Did biometrics 3 weeks ago, so IDK.  we will see what they say.

Sorry for your lost.

you can use emaa to make quick expedite request and live agent will attend to you in less than 5 minutes.

Just type ''Live chat'' then select Green card and wait for the Agent.

I hope it all goes well.

Thanks, we just waited the 80 min for an agent and seems like we have to wait until Monday or Tuesday to get a call back for an emergency interview.  So sadly "emergency" in USCIS means about a week or two.  IDK if it will be possible to even go by then.  :(

Do you try to chat with them as i suggested, calling USCIS will not work for your emergency request, they hardly answer anyone calls this days, right now you can still chat with them and get your expedite request through.

You can't expedite biometrics. You will likely get a denial because you need your biometrics done first before you can expedite. However, people say expediting may trigger your biometrics appointment, but that's not always the case. Expediting didn't work for me, what worked was contacting my congressman.

Update: on 7/29 we got our bios appointment.  They also sent an email saying they wanted some proof for the expedite.

Was this was a coincidence that our bios got scheduled the same day they reviewed the expedite request?

Like I said, expediting may trigger your bio appointment. When they review your request, they pick up your document and they normally just send a bio schedule.

When I expedited, they sent a letter saying my biometrics had not been done and I should expedite again after my bio. Wait till you get your biometrics done before showing proof. Otherwise, they will send you the same message.

Hey, did you get any update saying your finger print has been taken?

After my biometrics yesterday my case status changed to "Case is being actively reviewed."

This might mean that things are pretty close for me at this point.

I didn't. All I got was "case is being actively reviewed"

Hi! Yes it updated on 08/06 to case is ready to be scheduled for an interview, like around 7pm i wasn’t expecting it at all, but I’m really glad there’s a movement after waiting for a while. Fingers crossed for everyone to have biometric and approval progress soon!!

There hasn’t been any update at all on our case since...the NOA1! On “m’y USCIS”, it still says “case was received”. No mention of the “RFE” we got (the one which says “you didn’t provide your médicals, please bring them at the interview”. No mention of the biometrics appointment scheduled nor done.

when I go on the newer USCIS website, it’s the same, except (and that’s worst), that there isn’t even any “case received” mentionned for my AOS (only for EAD, AP and I-130).

It seems that the updates aren’t showing as they should...Does anyone else has the same issue? If so, did you solve it and how? Is it worth chatting on Emma?...

Went today to have the biometrics done. As always, they could not get a good print. It's been a problem for years now, the damn electronic machines just can't read my fingerprints. I wish it was due to dry skin, but I keep my hands in extremely good condition, it's just the prints are so shallow. Here's hoping they get accepted, if not, going back in. Might need to dry out my hands so they stand out better. 😔😔😔
