my understanding is that the expedite request triggers the biometrics, for instance my expedite request is still in process, but it triggered my bios, I've got my appointment on 19th this month. a lot of people get their request rejected and they still get the bio appointment  3 o 4 days later, the agent is like 'oh this person PD was like 3-4 months ago, why he/she hasn't gotten  their FP appointment yet, send the letter!!!' (my theory of what happens)

As per my experience, it doesn't happen all the time, some may get lucky I think. I am hoping for Bio. Everytime I call them they say it's up to local office to set the  biometric.

I got my biometrics letter this past Saturday, scheduled for 26th of July. Also filed an inquiry form with my local congressman maybe 3 weeks before that, think it might have triggered it. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting

There's a trick to expedite your EAD and hopefully 'trigger bios'

Connect w/ a live agent,  provide EAD receipt number  and request the EAD to be expedite DO NOT mention that you don't have bios(super important point), then provide your expedite motive,  it should work, if not try a couple times those live agents are 24/7 grumpy.

Quick question, so what if they ask if we’ve received our bios.. ??

cuz I avoided mentioning I don’t have bio but she asked me directly

should we disconnect the chat ?

Local office? I guess it’s time to give them a call

Local.office it doesn't matter it seems. Agent said NBC has to process the file first then it will be sent local.

It doesn't matter you disconnect or not, file doesn't move until they do something or you have to have emergency to request them.to expedite

Just got done chatting with the live Emma agent.

I asked if they could expedite my case, they asked the reason, and I said financial.

They put in the request to expedite the i-765 work permit and said to expect a response in 7 days.

We got our biometrics appointment last week (about 10 days ago), scheduled for July 15.  Even though the letter shows the appointment was made June 18th we only got the letter just now.  Luckily we hadn't started our family vacation yet so we could postpone it for a week and attend it without needing to reschedule.

Now we just received the biometrics appointment for my wife's child for 2 weeks from now.  They really don't want us to take our family vacation.  We will discuss options with them today at my wife's appointment.  Hopefully we can work something out.
