Yes, I agree @obobaddest

NOA1 received on 3/23

Biometrics scheduled for 5/17

I am sure that other February filers will be receiving their appointments pretty soon.

Does your case status change on the website once you're scheduled for biometrics? Our I-485 says "Fingerprint Fee Received" as of March 11th, but the EAD and AP case numbers still say "Case Was Received" as of February 11th.

Hi there,  no - the online case status is still "fingerprint fee received"...and the same as you've indicated for the rest.

Our biometric appointment is 5/13

@Ermehgerdd Given the current backlog in the system, I wouldn't be surprised if the online status wasn't updated immediately to reflect the biometric schedule status, however it seems like they are gathering pace now.

So, you are gonna receive the biometric notice shortly, if you haven't already.

Isn't depend on the field office?some are late some are quick ?

I cannot comment on this really because I also have very little information on the intricacies of the entire process; so, I will let other experienced members weigh in.

However, from what I understand is that the huge dump of applications in October 2020 (and the ongoing pandemic) led to significant backlog in general.

The good news is that they have apparently ramped up the speed, and consequently many March filers have also started getting biometric notices.

Thank you for you positivity. We haven't received it yet but I'm hoping we do soon.

Based on our case status I understand that the date of i485 "fingerprint fee received" is the date your cheque/fee get processed. And AP/ EAD date will remain as date file they received .

It might be a silly question but, how do you know you're scheduled for the biometric appointment? you get a letter in the mail?

Yes you get a NOA notice of action detailing your bio appt. USCIS has been known to send the NOA after the bio appt has taken place, causing folks to miss their appt!

4 years, 11 months, 2 weeks and 3 days

Citizenship Complete!

USCIS is like a box of chocolates, you never know what kind of answer you are going to get!!!!

Gotcha,  nice, hopefully I could get my appt soon, I've seen in several places that  the USCIS is picking up speed in the past few weeks, fingers crossed.
