Ok guys.. I've seen some here that have gotten their approvals/NOA2 by calling and after a few days their status online has not changed and even the dates.. some here already have their stuff sent to NVC and still the status are pending.. so I'm kinda just confused why the system is like this..because of others experiences some of us try to call and do the same because we feel that we might have the approval as well base on our timelines.. and yet we get so down because all they tell you is STILL PENDING..WAIT FOR CERTAIN AMOUNT OF DAYS or MONTHS..

So what are your thoughts on these issue..especially those that are on the same boat as I am.. thanks guys..and I'm still praying and waiting for all of us to get approved..

Call USCIS on the 1-800 # listed for your service center. Follow the prompts to inquire about an RFE. YOu will be asked to key in your case number, after which the system will tell you to "send in the requested evidence," but you will also have the option to speak w/ a live person. That will get you someone directly at California Service Center. All other prompts on this number lead to the call center, where all they can tell you is what you see for youself.

Once you speak w/ this live person, explain the numerous updates to your petition, and say that you are worried you've received an RFE, but you're confused. Maybe you can get some information on your case status. If the "touches" are an RFE, they'll tell you for sure. If they are for any other reason looking at your petition so 'repeatedly,' the person on the phone may tell you. Depends on the person...but some have been lucky in finding out their approval by this method....even when their online status still showed pending.

Good luck!

It is indeed a bit odd. Our petition was filed March 15, or 4 days ahead of yours and the Texas USCIS forwarded it to California and was received March 23. Approval was June 5 and NVC received our petition June 22. . . NVC sent our petition to Manila June 26. USCIS sent our approval notice thru email first in June 5 and when we checked our status , it has been changed and approved. After a week we received our NOA2 in hard copy.

Just hang in there. . .your case might still be under review. . there is a lot of background check going on before they approve the same. Keep the faith :)

Well that's what I was thinking too. I do the prompts correctly but it really depends who answers. The 1st and 3rd call was probably just a call center, but the 2nd phone call was different because she was very helpful. She tried and took time to look up my case and see if there are really any changes. So maybe it really just depends who answers the line or where you get transferred by their automated system. Base on the timeline given to me here at VJ (July 8), I hope I do get my NOA 2 before the given date. I will let you guys know once I get my approval. Thanks guys.

Take a look at the immigration timeline link at the top of the page. That will give you a feel of how long it takes CSC to approve a petition. Good luck
