Nancy Pelosi was walking outside when she saw a boy with a basket full of newborn puppies.  "Those are cute puppies!" she said.

 

"Yes," said the boy, "and they're Democratic puppies!"

 

Pelosi thought that this was great, and a few days later, she saw the boy again and called Chuck Schumer to come see them.

 

"I love my Republican puppies," said the boy to the pair.

 

"But, just a minute!" said Pelosi, startled.  "A few days ago, you said they were Democratic puppies."

 

"I know," said the boy, "but now their eyes are finally open!"
