How to obtain a letter from Social Security?

Hi,

So I'm trying to get my wife a state i.d. and the requirements are pretty simple and we have them all, except for one. And that one requirement that we don't have is her Social Security #. Anyways, I have attached a screenshot of the requirement so you can read it.

It says "No Social Security Number verification letter from the Social Security Administration (Only acceptable when submitted with an Unexpired Foreign Passport with a valid, unexpired U.S. visa accompanied by an I-94)"

So, my question now is how can I obtain a verfication letter from the SSA saying that she does not have a Social Security Number?

Thanks much!

She also needs an unexpired US visa........You might be better off in just waiting for her SSN.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

We have all that. As for her SSN it’ll be a while since her petition is still in progress.

How do we obtain that letter though? Any ideas? Been searching through their website and I can’t find anything about it.

That language sounds, to me,  like an ineligibility letter or a denial letter from SSA.  I don't think that applies in her case.  Why not just wait until she receives her SS card?
