Why?  When not suspended, NVC schedules the interviews.  Email to the consulate would be a total waste of time.

Mis informed much????  Embassies send NVC the interview date and NVC issues the interview letter for certain categories before they ship files to embassy.    Certain Embassies are issuing interviews for banned categories so they can be interviewed and visas issued after March 31st to prevent a backlog from cancelled interviews.  Just because your embassy is not doing this is your loss.  

 

There is no reason why anyone cannot email their embassy and inquire when interviews will be issued.
