Is that really true? He is permitted to stay as long as his AOS is pending. I would expect the next step will be that is application for AOS will be rejected, but then he will have time to appeal. Won't a hearing be needed for a judge to issue the deportation order?

I’m just afraid that we will never read about an update. This has to be a troll, or you’d be too innocent if you think you could get away with this one. Really? Anyhow, rule number 1: never, EVER lie to USCIS. Why would you lie to them? Even if your wife spent the night away, there is nothing wrong with that if your marriage is legit. At this point honestly I don’t think an immigration lawyer can do much

He is if he can show proper papers

I retired from my PT job to move south and signed with a temp agency just to meet people

and yes,  working in an office for a factory ,  ICE would come and take people away who couldn't show green card or issued State ID

some came back to work a few weeks later as they were able to prove to a judge they had the  right to stay but others ????  no idea what happened to them

and ICE came with a bus to that factory about once a month the other staff members said (that was in middle Georgia) and a job many USC's did not want to do

understand that many immigrants (legal ) don't carry the green card (and they are suppose to)  or may not know where the USC  spouse puts important papers like for AOS

and illegals have no rights

Why did you lie? There is nothing wrong saying that you dropped your wife off last night at her mother's house because she is elderly and need help around the house, so her daughter is helping her out.

I find this story hard to believe why will immigration officers come now. AOS adjustment ? and why will they touch your car that does not prove anything it does not  prove you were driving it. They will want more proof then that I will think. I am sorry I just do not believe this story However if is true why did you lied

Guys, can you stop ganging up on poor guy?

Give him benefit of the doubt. English is not his first language.

“Poor guy” lied to a federal agency. How does that make him a poor guy?

Seriously, some people come here for help and end up with more worries they came with. He knows he messed up!

This case is beyond what "help" can be offered on a DIY site.

It might just be his lack of English skills, and he probably didn't mean to lie?

He stated clearly he knew he was lying. Then his wife lied too. This is not poor English skills.

This is a very strange and weird sounding case. With multiple interviews and in-person house visit by Immigration officers, there seems to be a lot of back story to it. USCIS is trying to cut-down on the case backlogs caused by covid by waiving interviews and in OP's case immigration officers showing up at his doorstep looks very strange. On top of that, the lying did not help at all and then OP's wife also said a different lie. This case is either a troll or someone with a lot of caveats in his application.
