Hello. Did you expedite or it was based on normal processing? Are they resuming normal k1 interviews now? When did you apply? When did you receive your NOA2?

Thank you for your response

I applied October 2019, I received RFE but was approved in April 2020. Since my K1 petition is sitting at NVC. Your K1 petition was sent to the embassy before the pandemic hit or recently forwarded from NVC to the embassy?

Yes I did... They kept saying that the US embassy in Haiti was not able to resume k1 operations yet I had to wait until they resume K1 (the last call was In August 2020), since I tried to call them I waited for long hours on the line they hung up without finding an operator to talk with . It’s the reason why I wanted to know if NVC is forwarding K1 cases to the US embassy in Haiti, any info about that please?

So I guess they have to work on backlogs at the embassy first? It will be less stressful knowing that they start working on them in order to get to those at NVC later.

When did they contact you to schedule your interview? What is your interview date?

As I know your appointment letter is the confirmation page you have to print after you schedule your interview appointment on your own. Did you wanted to talk about eligibility letter?

I guess they are scheduling interviews for those cases already sent to the consulate before COVID-19 because of the unavailability of their calendar, they need to protect their staff and all applicants so they want to know about each appointment they will have a day. Before COVID all K1 applicants had to schedule their own appointment. If I were you I would take with me all proof that they contact me (calls records, any text that shows their contact, etc) in case they would ask for that eligibility letter. Did your ceac show “ready” status? Print that out

Thank you for the advice.... i did call and the woman who did answer the call told me the same as you. If they don’t send mw the appointment letter. Go anyway at the appointment day and explain them that. Bc they have a list of name of people who has appointment. They will check for me.

Exactly... Better over prepared than sorry. Go with all evidence as you can. Be happy that you already have your interview date because there’s a lot of people who would wish to be at your place (including me🤦🏾‍♀️)
