Yes, the receipt notice indicating that $1225 was paid is required for proof.

Note that it also clearly says: "Please resubmit your Form I-765 with a copy of your Form I-485 receipt notice (I-797)."

There's no fee.

Hey @Ayrton

You seem to be very knowledgeable in the topic and my situation is pretty similar to OP's post.

Do you know if you're still good for the 180 day renewal as long as they got it in the lockbox prior to the EAD expiring?

I can see that they got my paperwork on the lockbox on Jan 27th but my EAD expired Feb 5th...

Yes, that counts as timely filed; 8 CFR § 103.2(a)(7)(i): "USCIS will consider a benefit request received and will record the receipt date as of the actual date of receipt at the location designated for filing such benefit request whether electronically or in paper format." But for proof of the automatic extension you'll have to wait for receipt notice for the I-765: https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/form-i-9-resources/handbook-for-employers-m-274/handbook-for-employers-m-274/40-completing-section-2-of-form-i-9/44-automatic-extensions-of-employment-authorization-documents-eads-in-certain-circumstances
