Since, like HK, Taiwan can't count on US help, they'd do well to fortify their island, put plenty of sleepers in the mainland, and make any advances by China as perilous as possible. It seems all but certain China will be trying in the near future.

Hey guys nothing to see here don't worry about anything at all. China will only bring back into the fold a breakaway province that is it at the expense of thousands possibly millions of lives. What we really need to worry about is what someone said or liked on FB because that is real life

  According to the DHS alert I got, we probably should be concerned about both. I think this may be the first first time I've ever seen an official terrorist alert for HVE (homegrown violent extremist) activity. Also one of the reasons that social media activity has been toned down (or removed) by individuals. 

 

  When there is discussion of killing and violence on social media that can be linked to actual acts of killing and violence in real life, I wouldn't expect it to be ignored even if you don't take it seriously yourself.

   I believe it's more like the capitol riot where 5 people were killed and hundreds arrested. You probably heard about that one?

 

   Many of those arrested people are now talking and naming names, and some of those names are people who "just" encouraged and liked social media posts made about killing politicians. While those posts may not mean much to you, it does seem like some are trying real real hard to cover up or walk back what those posts meant.
