NO  they are most concerned with current income. So no cosponsor is needed if current income exceeds 125%.

I am well over the 125% poverty level for 2005 and 2006, but I was a student with little income in 2004. Do I need to file with a joint sponser?

My wife tax return for the last 3 years was so bad almost nothing because she wasn't working but she makes over 125 % now.and she sent them documents from the employers stating how much she makes and that she's full time and that was enough they approved our affidivat of support.

Good luck.

flicki,

Based on the little information that you provided, probably not. But there could be things that you haven't mentioned that could change the answer.

Same job for those last 2 years? And still in it? Not a contract or temporary job that's going to end in the forseeable future?
