Curious if anyone has info on applying to expedite for medical issues? My fiancé has a medical condition that causes pain, inflammation, weakness among other things. There is better treatment and medicine in the states. She has a lot of medical paperwork from doctors for the condition. Seems like most on here say it can’t hurt. Thanks in advance.

She can get that done straight way as a tourist

So every time  treatment is needed 800 dollar 14 hour flight?

Not knowing anything about her condition not able to comment just saying if this is urgent and you need to get it done here and now with K1s on hold this is what I would do

Usually getting treatment in the US is initiated by a dr in contact with medical facilities here and a temporary visa for the B2 visa

if you go for expediated K1 it can backfire as medical care here is more expensive and you will have to bare the cost and/or cost of health care insurance for primary insurance and secondary (if possible to get)

with most of us having issues getting even our regular dr to schedule appointments because of covid and hospitals being full up ,  not sure she could get the care she needs / many of us are on hold for proceedures

you don't post what country and many still are not doing K1 interviews and you just applied in January 2021

its a long lonely road.  I have no idea how easy it is the get a tourist medical visa from X country... but if she says she knows a man here... I say less.  I have sympathy for every case but there are many cases of K1 who started 14 months before you and not finished. Those of us that just got out of NVC Jail dont know if this means the old 3 or 12 months since some people who could see the light at the end of the tunnel were stuck at NVC for 9 months or 8 months longer than a year ago.

the hope is that it appears the monthly application rates fell off like 50% about April until now...  Not easy to meet or keep in touch... Also how many LDR's failed this past 10 months test on their love?  it has to be significantly more than last year.  so even thought your a year later than many it not the normal amount being added to the  que.

The only successful K1 expedites I've heard of are fiancés with USC children or USC military service members.

Depending on the country, it may be possible to get an emergency B visa. But be prepared with excellent documentation about why your fiancée can't get the right medical treatment in her home country, as well as proof of financial ability to pay for treatment in the States.

Usually, Expedite reasons are to benefit the US citizen.   Since fiancees are not immediate relatives, it might be unlikely to succeed.  But, requesting an expedite seems to be the norm these days.  Go for it!!
