Rescheduling Parent's Green card interview

Hello,

My parents are sent a green card interview notice for early Feb ; however they  are currently out of usa on advance parole due to a family emergency taking care of an ill sibling.

Is there a way to reschedule their interview to say May? What kind of communication/supporting evidence need to be provided to the uscis to get the interview rescheduled?

They can get their interview rescheduled, but I doubt that the exact window can be chosen for a new date. The interview letter has instructions on how to reschedule.
