How can IO make an appointment? The number I call forces you to listen and it never gives you a chance to speak yo anyione.

Call USCIS.  Ask for technical assistance at each prompt.  That method has worked well for some people.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Thanks mushroomspore.....you are talking about the I-90 NOA that stated case open for GC replacement correct?

Yes correct. USCIS will see the I-90 receipt photocopy with your I-751 and understand that the GC was incorrect so they don't get confused. I was prepared to do the same thing for my I-751 because I had no idea how long my I-90 would take to get approved. My I-90 got approved pretty quickly though so it became a non-issue.

I understand if the number below does not get you to a person, use the technical support option to reach someone.

From USCIS web page...

If you need help with document services (such as passport stamps or advance parole) or have an emergency, see the USCIS Contact Center webpage to make an appointment.

In-person Services

  • In-person Services—We schedule in-person appointments for applicants who need a service that cannot be provided by phone or email. For example:
    • If someone needs proof of their immigration status to work or travel
    • When temporary visitors’ period of lawful stay is about to expire, and they need to show “satisfactory departure”
    • Emergency travel documents

Please call the Contact Center at 800-375-5283 to request an appointment.

I have heard if you call and use the request technical support option you will get to a live person at USCIS on the phone.

Hey Guys I called and what a mess....I spoke to first first lady and she made all notes about getting the I-751 early requesting me to begin ROC on 2/21  when we cant as my wife was not a permanent residence until 8/23/19 so I was supposed to get a call within seven days by a tier two agent.

She even got her boss on the other line and she didn't understand this "weird"  situation. Ok 10 minutes later I called again to lady number two; she understood better but I'm afraid the same result, I'm still waiting on a call and still just as stressed knowing I cant start in 2/21 rather 5/21 based on my wife becoming a permanent resident on 8/23/19.

Ok so while I'm waiting on a call that didn't come in the seven days promised I get an update email in this timeframe stating action was taken on the I-90 we mailed in to get the GC corrected, the I-90 update said we will get notified to do biometrics.....WHAT? Why do we need a biometrics on a USCIS GC mistake?

Stop stressing. If there’s biometrics to do  - do them. One less thing to do when you ROC and hopefully a faster approval.

if you want to get this resolved work with your senator or congressman’s immigration aide. They have direct line of communication with USCIS. Find who represents you, complete their information release form and email them a letter with timeline, any NOAs (I-90) and what you’re looking for them to help with.
