DS-160(K1)

I filed K1 for my finance. We are now filling form DS-160.

 

My finance's visa was CANCELLED OR REVOKED 12/2019. But we don't know the reason as we didn't get any notice. 

 

My finance got a call from embassy and was told on the phone. However on DS-160 there is a question which ask if your visa was cancelled or revoked? And the reason

 

First of all, we don't know we should pick CANCEL or pick REVOKE.

 

Secondly, we don't know how to write the reason

 

Can anybody help me on it?

The question on the DS-160 is, "Has your US visa ever been cancelled or revoked?", isn't it?  Then answer "Yes".  No need to write the reason.  Simply provide the details you do have, like "Visa was cancelled or revoked 12/2019.  Reason unknown".  The consulate will have the details in their records anyway.

Thanks so much. Will that be a problem to get visa? there is no any criminal thing. The reason to cause it i think is that my finace flew to USA too many times in 2019.

As long as there's no misrepresentation involved, it won't be an issue for K1 if a previous tourist visa was cancelled or revoked.

Thanks so much！ one more question, can the employer letter be sent to my finace by email and print over there? some other people said it must be original one. is it true?

My fiancé got interview today. When he was asked the reason of B1/B2 get cancelled, he replied don’t know. Then he got a paper which says needs additional process. Do you know what is going on? We don’t know what to do next

Check carefully what the letter says.  Was it a 221(g) letter saying "administrative processing" is required?  Administrative processing is a normal part of ALL applications.  The 221g letter would have instructions on what action is required from you, if any.

Yes. It says administrative process. I am wondering how come consulate doesn’t know the reason? And they have to check again?

The consulate knows exactly the reason they gave the 221g letter.  Like I said, all applications go through administrative processing, though some cases take longer than others.  If the 221g letter does not specify any action required from you, then all you can do now is wait until the visa is issued.
