NOA 1 lockbox times for AOS

I keep hearing rumors around that it is going to take forever to get our NOA1. My husband has a month exactly left on his visa and we are just finishing up a few loose ends with the SSA and waiting on his number and probably are a week or so out from really finishing our stuff.

Are AOS NOA 1's having a big back log like I-129F backlogs or are they prioritized? What would we use as proof of a pending AOS application prior to an NOA1?

NOA1 are taking a long time.   There is nothing you can use, but feel confident that nobody will come looking for him

YMMV

Thank you! That's a bummer. So... technically if our NOA comes after his visa expires he is out of status? He can't be deported can he?

He is out of status regardless.   All the filing of tbe i485 does is puts him in a class of authorized stay.  As I said in my original post, nobody is going to come looking for him.

PS. If it is any comfort, the new administration stopped all deportations

Also I don’t see why you would need to prove your status unless you are living/traveling by the border and even that is rare. Don’t worry just submit your application.
