I subbed to your timeline and just saw you got your biometrics -- congrats! Really hoping we aren't too far behind you, this has been an insane wait.

Thanks! Yeah it was a biometrics appointmentment. The status didn't update online saying it was coming, which apparently it hasn't done for anyone. We made a service request on June 21st since the I-131 was technically out of processing time, which said to expect a reply by July 13. The appointment notice was dated for July 10, so maybe that had something to do with it? Or it was a coincidence. Either way, it's good that they're doing something after 6 months.

Got my biometrics appointment too! First week of august. I requested an expedite on my work Visa and a week later I got the biometrics appointment. Dont know if that's a coincidence or not. Haven't heard anything about my expedite, requested it about 9 days ago.

My wife just got her biometrics appointment for 8/23. I.  was worried because just one month ago we changed our address to a different state. But the appointment is in the new location.

I have been seeing people are getting their  GC interview directly ( skipping EAD) for marriage base GC interview is must. Now you have to wait until your case status changes to interview scheduled; you will get notice in your mail.

Is there any approximate time for that?

Did my biometrics on Monday the 26th of July. Who knows now how long it will take to get the EAD. But as @Siggy said, apparently who is adjusting from marriage, k1 visa in particular, should expect to get GC interview scheduled instead of the EAD/Travel document which are issued in case of emergency.

On a certain point of view, skipping that intermediate passage may be good...it really depends on how long they take to schedule the GC interview though....and the forecast do not look good.

I got some great news. My case status has changed to “the interview was scheduled” on august 5th. Still didn’t receive a notice in my mail, probably it will be sometime this week. This is for Miami field office.

Update: Just got the notice in the mail, interview scheduled for September 15th.

I would say to expect it to be maybe last week of September. You’ll receive a letter if not by the end of this week then for sure Monday or Tuesday next week. Congrats

Wife's interview got scheduled for September 30th. We asked a live chat agent for the date today so we didn't have to wait for the mail, but we got the status update last Friday. Seems oddly fast for our field office, considering their estimate completion time was 11.5 months at a minimum (used to be 14 when we filed!), this would've been 8.3 months not counting any time between interview and issuance. No idea why we're ahead of schedule all of a sudden, was honestly expecting to wait another 2 months, but I'm not complaining!
