Former president Trump extended Proclamations 10014 and 10052 "Suspension of Entry of Immigrants and Nonimmigrants Who Continue to Present a Risk to the United States Labor Market" till 31 March, 2021.

There is no legal or scientific data to proof these proclamations have sense and grounds to work their need.

However, this suspension applies to not only new work force coming to USA, but also to members of families. For over a year this suspension prevents spouses, minor children and other loved ones to meet each other, as well as new work force to improve economy of USA.

Just wait 1-2 weeks, let the new president appoint new USCIS director and then we can see where it goes. There are lots of things to overturn including the new public charge rule, unnecessary RFEs which increased petition backlog and so on.
