Sooo my husband got his temp greencard with the wrong birth year. We filed i-90 end of november. My questions are. Does anyone know how long it took for the updated visa? What was required, did they ask for another interview, etc.  And if we were to travel outside of america and to come back with the wrong birthyear would immigration at airports give him a hard time. All his other documents have the right year. Just this one no. And we thought we corrected it at the interview. But the officer must have forgotton

GC is not a visa.

I-90 has a processing time of almost 1 year. So it will take sometime.

If you're talking about the 2-year GC, it's technically called a "conditional" GC. There's no such thing as a "temporary" GC. No interview for I-90. They should just send the correct card in the mail. But processing times for I-90 are pretty long unfortunately. You can call USCIS and beg/demand for an InfoPass appointment to get the I-551 stamp in his passport. The stamp is equivalent to the green card, so he can travel with it. Unfortunately, USCIS is not known for their attentiveness. They put the wrong dates on my GC when I got it and that error sadly happens on a regular basis.

Did he return his incorrect Green Card to USCIS yet?  If not, they will not send a new one until he has done so.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

If filed online, they will issue a RFE requesting the card when they're ready to adjudicate the case.

Unfortunately, there will a period of time the Green Card holder will be without a plastic card.  That was my point.
