Perhaps you should try out Camino.

Hmm, might move onto that one next (then again, Firefox seems to want me to instal some updates today, maybe they'll 'fix' it and I can try that again...) - I did start using Camino for a while last year when Safari was playing up, but it was really slow, so I got sick of it pretty quickly. If Safari AND Firefox keep misbehaving, I might give Camino another go! :)

I don't personally find Camino slow. What sort of Mac are you using? It works great on my 1Ghz 12" Powerbook, which is not the fastest Mac ever (I have 4 faster!).

A 1.5 Ghz 12 Powerbook! :) Maybe I should give Camino another try, then... I only used it for maybe a week (last summer, I think it was) and everything seemed to take forever to load. I was surprised, as I'd read plenty of good things about it...

They came out with a new version since then. Its pretty fast.

BTW - I can report that VJ works great on the iPhone! Well apart from having to bloody log in every time. ;)

You have an iPhone?!?? :o I'm not jealous, not at all... ;)

Just discovered that the version of Camino I have on here is 1.01. Downloading 1.5 now... will give that a go. Cheers! :)

I'm Steve Job's #######. I basically have right now: 3 iPods, an iPhone, a Powerbook, an iBook, a Mac mini, a G5 Power Mac and a MacBook Pro (OK so the last 2 were bought for me by work and the iBook is my wife's but I bought it for her). I've also been responsible for converting my work into Macs, hence facilitating the purchase of about 10 Macs so far and one XServe. ;)

Bloody hell! Yup, Steve Jobs' ####### alright... well done on converting your work, though!

Oh yeah, the iPhone... how is it for, y'know, phoning people and stuff?

(I am typing this from a pretty speedy-seeming Camino, btw... all seems fine apart from an annoying vertical line that appeared down the middle of the screen when I hit 'reply' on here. Hmm. Am sure it will disappear once I've posted this!)

Yeah, to think 4 years ago I was a bonafide Mac hater. ;)

Honestly the speaker is a little quiet (volume is fine for me, but at max) and the SMS alert sound is way too quiet, but other than that, its good. Hopefully the little issues will be fixed by an update soon. The visual voicemail rocks, its so good it almost makes me not want to answer my calls. ;)

Actually I get those on Camino as well. A weird font issue I think.

It is nice to know that we coded everything well enough with web standards that it shows well on the iphone :).

Yes. Actually the iphone browser is safari, so no reason it shouldn't work but it good to know anyway. This posted from my iphone btw!

I note also that VJ looks exactly the same on the iphone as on my laptop, just a little smaller.

Ack, now you're showing off!

:)

Actually, the iPhone does bring up one troubling possibility:

VJ on the bog. ;)

Well, men do like to read newspapers and magazines whilst on the loo, surely VJ on the bog doesn't really differ. However, the first person who puts this in their post:

"I'm typing this whilst on the loo!"

will be summarily slapped around the head with a rolled up newspaper.
