Visas are not actually approved until all administrative processing is completed after the interview.  Unfortunately, administrative processing cannot be waived or expedited.  It can take hours, days, weeks, or (in some cases such as in Pakistan commonly) many months.  Just wait and watch for the status to change to issued.

So what is done during the administrative processing?

I just realized I'm not sure I know that. ☺️ Or I know about background checks for some people or something like that and how it can take longer, but I'm thinking more in general.

Hi,

19th Jan 2021: K1 visa interview at Sydney consulate and was given 221g form to submit additional docs on previous divorce. They kept my passport.

After consulate received the Additional docs

12th Feb: NI visa application , Administrative Processing

16th Feb:  NI visa application , Application Received

19th Feb:  NI visa application , Administrative processing

23rd Feb:  NI visa application , status changed back to Application Received

Is the status going back to Application Received after second AP normal?
I thought after the second AP, the next stage was ‘issued’.

Has anyone else experienced the same situation ?

Thanks

There is no formula that applies to all applications.  All you can do is wait.
