I know Biden has signed an executive action on immigration today and there are some details that have come out. I would like to read the exact wording of the action if someone knows a link to it.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

There is no easy fix.  There are over 1 million I-130s pending in the system.......and it has been that way since BEFORE Trump was elected.

That's true but the processing times were significantly faster before Trump too. Trump has made legal immigration harder, covid has made it even worse.

Hopefully this vaccine and Biden's pro immigration stance makes things better

What about the proclamation on public charge? Did Biden axe that, too?

I thought the public charge changes were not done by executive order? If so, there is a longer process to change them.

The public charge rule has been in place long before Trump. Trump just issued an order for it to be more strictly enforced. The "strictly enforced" order by Trump may get removed but the public charge rule as a whole is not going anywhere.

Yeah I meant the I-944 changes. I knew the public charge was around previously. There has been a lot of immigration changes recently it was hard to keep track of how everything was done.

The only recent things that have changed as far as spouses are concerned is due to Covid. I would expect Biden to tighten down further, well that is what he has said.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

One executive order from Biden ordering these embassies to ramp up interviews is all it would take.

Exactly what would an EO from Biden do to solve the issue?
